SPEAK KINDLY

Speak kindly, Oh speak kindly

To all who chance to meet

Our Savior said : "the words you speak

You'll surely have to meet."

A hasty unkind word may cut

The wound just like a sword

And when we wound our fellow man

We wound our blessed Lord.

A word once spoken does a work

That cannot be undone

how sad the thought if we have hurt

Our Saviors  suffering one

Speak kindly , Oh speak kindly

That you may not regret

The speaking of an angry word

Now please do not forget!
