| MACE MOB UNLIMITED CEO : REGAN MACE. The older and vastly smarter paternal twin sister of Ariel Mace, Regan Mace - the CEO of Mace Mob Unlimited - is no less lovely in appearance. Like her sister, "Reggie" never showed any interest as a child for the in-ring aspects of the sport, but growing up amongst a family so heavily emersed in the life of professional wrestling, she became involved in many behind-the-scenes affairs. A university graduate with a Masters degree, Regan possesses a keen business mind and is arguably as responsible for the success of Northern Pro Wrestling as her father, Jack Mace. Notably, Regan Mace created and structured the NPW holding company, Mace Mob Unlimited, where she holds an equal portion of the ownership along with her siblings and father. When NPW officially went on the air in 2001, Regan assumed an on-air role as a ring announcer and interviewer before becoming involved with wrestler Brock Slater and helping him to the NPW championship. Regan Mace also assumed control as the financial mind behind the Untouchables, and was responsible for the formation of that group in NPW. Today, having repented her evil ways, Regan has worked as NPW's Vice-President of Operations, President, and finally, CEO, as she spearheaded the campaign of Mace Mob Unlimited to re-purchase NPW from former owner Think Tank Turner. Today, she remains almost always off-screen, producing NPW's shows and running the financial empire, and leaving all of NPW's day-to-day decisions to Carnage and Bishop. Her gallery can be found HERE. PRESIDENT : SAM CARNAGE. Sam Carnage, aka Sam Turner, is one of the best-known wrestlers in the Coalition of Affiliated Legues, where his battles with "Soldier" Lawrence Cheung are stuff of legend. Carnage, a former CAL World and World Tag Team champion, rose to prominence in the NPW-allied Southeast Wrestling Federation within the NWCal, and later re-joined the CAL in Capitol City Wrestling. He was heavyweight champion in both promotions before his World title runs. Later, retiring due to an ongoing knee injury, Carnage became the CAL Special Investigator and right-hand man of then-CAL CEO Jeremy Rodden, and later became President of the Coalition of Affiliated Leagues. Sam departed the CAL some time later to take the job of NPW President under Regan Mace's ownership. His website can be found HERE. COMMISSIONER : ANGELINA BISHOP. Before Anglina took the role, CAL President Sam Carnage and later Didi Rock last held this post in an interim capacity. This post has also been filled by Think Tank Turner, Butch Rifleman, and Regan Mace. Angelina Bishop is a graduate of the University of Southern California, and holds a Masters degree in Business and Economics from the London School of Economics in Great Britain. At the age of twenty-four, she was hired by The Sadox Corporation as the President of Big West Wrestling before it was the promotion was even released, and turned the company into one of the top independents in western Canada and the northwestern United States inside of a year. She is personally noted for discovering wrestling prodigy Eric Wolf, and leading the invasion of BWW into Northern Pro Wrestling in a takeover attempt. Although that bid ultimately failed, Bishop succeeded in wrestling away control of NPW and her holding company from then-President Jack Mace on behalf of her boss, Brett Stanton. Until 2003, she worked as Stanton's right hand, and was a guiding force in turning the fallen Keystone Wrestling Federation into the Big West Wrestling Alliance. Angelina Bishop is twenty-six, hails from Vancouver, British Columbia, and is the President of her own independent wrestling-based company, Phoenix Initiatives, which specializes in all aspects of wrestling support from marketing to gear amd equipment supply. Her hair is black, falling to her shoulders, and she stands roughly five feet five inches, with a slim and attractive frame. In her spare time, Angelina enjoys athletics, theatre, and travel. Her image can be found HERE. SECURITY CHIEF : SKIP ROBERTS. Skip Roberts was made Security Chief by Commissioner Angelina Bishop when Kurgan Demonstone [who had served for a long time as Head of Security] quit the post. Skip commands the "Job Mob" security team of Galahad and Barnala, and his bio can be found HERE. In the past, the security chief position has been filled by P.T. Holston and Kurgan Demonstone. REFEREES : DAN BASH, BILL BLATTS, FRED BILLINGTON. Bash's former pro wrestling record as an "athlete" is unparalled -- unparalled in losses, that is. With an official record of 2 wins, 676 losses and 1 draw, nobody in the business knows more about wrestling than Danny Bash. Danny retired from his perrenial jobber status in 1997, joining Jack Mace in Commonwealth Championship Wrestling before taking the Chief Referee reigns in NPW in 2001. At 5'6" and 100 pounds, Danny might not have been a success as a wrestler, but no one can claim he isn't as fair and brave as they come as a referee. Today, Dan joins "Blind" Bill B'atts and Fred Billington -- longtime fellow referees from both the UWF and CCW promotions -- into calling the action. Following an all-referee battle in 2003, the current Chief Official is now Bill Blatts. Their images can be found HERE. CHIEF TRAINER : ASHLEY HENDRICKS. Ashley Hendricks is a longtime member of both Jack Mace's previous promotions and a a friend of Think Tank Turner. Following a near career-ending injury and chasing a desire to earn her Master's degree in university, Ashley left active professional wrestling and took a post as a road agent. Later, she assumed the head trainer's position at NPW's primary training facility, "The Barn", in Ottawa. Details of "The Barn" can be found HERE, and Ashley's personal website can be found HERE. PLAY-BY-PLAY : "DR. CLEAN" BOB MASTERS. Bob Masters began a wrestling career as a young hopeful some twenty-odd years ago, after becoming one of the first graduates of veteran wrestler Burt McConnell's "Wolverine Gym" in Jackson, Mississippi. Saddled with only average size, speed and power, Masters was nonetheless picked up right out of the gym upon his graduation by the powerhouse United Wrestling Federation. However, Masters was burdened with the complete unwillingness to break the rules of the sport -- hence, the "Mr. Clean" name that he used throughout his ten years in wrestling. Despite a great, driving passion for the sport, Masters only title win during his career was the UWF Interleague title, though he remained a fan favourite for his impressive mic abilities and devastating "Master Lock" sleeperhold. At the age of thirty, Masters suffered a career-ending injury during a match against UWF star "Crowbar" Crowley, when Crowley fractured several of the vertibrae in his spine. After his recovery, Masters immediately took a position as the lead play-by-play man in the federation, earning accolades and respect for his work. He stayed with the company until 1997, when UWF champion "Flagman" Jack Mace vacated the World championship and took several wrestlers away from the UWF ranks, citing corruption by President Kirk McConnell. Masters left with Mace and helped him start the small Commonwealth Championship Wrestling promotion, where he remained play-by-play man until the UWF lawsuit that saw UWF President Kirk McConnell win control of and immediately shut the promotion in 1999. Masters then started the highly successful "Wrestling World Online" website, which remains open and well-respected today. Masters remained loyal to Mace and his small, tight-knit family staff until the opening of Northern Pro Wrestling in 2001, where he once again resumed the role of play-by-play man for the company. In addition, he went to work in 2001 for the Coalition of Affiliate Leagues as the controller of the CAL Rumors Page, as well as producing and starring in his own wrestling-oriented television show, "Clean Slate". In late 2002, Masters recieved an Honorary Doctorate in Physical Education from his alma mater, and changed his name from "Mr. Clean" to "Dr. Clean". Today, Masters remains a loyal part of the NPW family, leading the announce team and providing all the ringside action to fans everywhere : his catch-phrases of "OH GOOD GAWD!" and "HOLY MACKINAW!" often anchor his electric, almost over-excited view of the game. His image can be found HERE. COLOUR COMMENTARY : KEN "CROWBAR" CROWLEY. If Bob Masters is no longer a physical match for today's wrestlers, Ken Crowley certainly is. At the age of forty-four, Crowley retains an impressive build on his 6'6" frame, and a wealth of wrestling experience. He began his career twenty-three years ago, terrorizing the wrestlers of Japan and the American independents as "Crowbar" Crowley, a crowbar-wielding nutjob with a big mouth and the powerful body to back it up. The perrenial heel, Crowley never wavered in his contempt for the heroes of the day, using every cheating tactic under the sun and inventing a few that hadn't been used before. He joined the United Wrestling Federation at the age of twenty, and though he never won a World championship, he held ever other title the league could offer. Notably, he is credited for giving "Wolverine" Burt McConnell his first loss. He was successful as one of the Untouchables in the Radical Wrestling Federation and retired to become a commentator four years ago in the UWF before Jack Mace vaulted from the UWF to open Commonwealth Championship Wrestling, whereupon Crowley joined him in that promotion. Having spawned a close partnership with fellow announcer and former in-ring foe Bob Masters, Crowley took to touring the wrestling promotional circuit in 1999, and even ran (unsuccessfully) for Mayor of New York City, where he recieved a surprising 4% of the vote. Crowley joined Masters in 2001 in Northern Pro Wrestling upon the request of longtime rival and NPW owner Jack Mace, and remains a mainstay of the promotion today. Unlike many "heel" announcers, he is also loyal to both Masters and Ariel Mace, despite his profession of hatred towards her style of announcing : he has been known to physically protect both in the past. His loyalty to NPW makes Crowley a valuable cornerstone of to the company, and his witty comments and snide remarks make him a popular fan favourite despite his pro-Untouchable and "old-school"-loving tendencies. His image can be found HERE. COLOUR COMMENTARY : ARIEL MACE. When God was passing out brains, Ariel Mace was in the ladies room applying makeup. The third-youngest member of the Mace family, and seven minutes younger than her twin sister Regan, Ariel grew up with wrestling in her blood -- four of her brothers, Jeff, Barry, Cameron and Brett, are all involved in the sport, and her father is NPW President Jack Mace. Ariel never seemed to possess any affinity towards the ring herself, preferring to remain involved only peripherally at ringside. Her apparent lack of intelligence is baffling, and is countered only by her stunning beauty : an abdominal stretch to Ariel, for example, is something you do with a Suzanne Sommers Ab Flexer. However, upon the opening of Northern Pro Wrestling, Ariel was granted a ringside colour commentary position by her father, and the move paid off -- she fast became a crowd favourite for her inane comments and total lack of wrestling knowledge. She has even become involved in the action itself from time to time, from taking her sister Regan out of action in defense of NPW to controlling the actions of the gigantic Direwolf for several weeks. Her fans inNPW has grown so much since her arrival that she has become an essential part of the NPW team, and she is arguably the most-loved part of the announcing booth. Her image gallery can be found HERE. VIDEOGRAPHER / BACKSTAGE INTERVIEWER : TANYA RYDER. Tanya Ryder [real name Tanya Rouse] comes to NPW courtesy of Bob Masters' Wrestling World Online' family, having made the jump to the NPW crew in early 2002. A longtime wrestling fan, Tanya holds a degree in Sports Management from Dalhousie University, and is a native of Nova Scotia. An attractive woman in her mid-twenties, Tanya has the unenviable task of sneaking about backstage with her shoulder-mounted camera, capturing all of the action that inevitably takes place behind the curtains. Inquisitive, courageous and intelligent, NPW is proud to have her on board. Her image can be found HERE. BACKSTAGE REPORTER / INTERVIEWER : CAPTAIN WONDERFUL. Captain Wonderful is a good-natured man... and a confused one. During his wrestling career, he wrestled under the identity of "Bucky Baxter", super-hero and champion of justice. However, outside the ring, he would don a cape and mask, and report about wrestling for Big West Wrestling as "mild-mannered" Captain Wonderful. After jumping ship to NPW in 2002, Wonderful was badly hurt by BWW faithful "Ramblin'" Jack Mahan, and was hired exclusively by NPW as a backstage reporter. In his guise as Captain Wonderful - or, rather, without his guise as Bucky Baxter - Wonderful seeks out the stories and interviews behind the scenes for the NPW fans. It remains to be seen if Baxter will ever return to in-ring action. His bio can be found HERE. |
