| Born July 6, 1979 in Hamilton, Ontario, Danny Vicious was immediately introduced to professional wrestling. Always the sport fan, he became a quick fan of hockey, baseball, and wrestling. He was playing league hockey and ball by second grade, but began wrestling in school at recess much earlier. anny grew up as a playground tough guy, and had the reputation of being vicious when he wanted to be. At the age of only 6, Danny beat up one boy and raked his face across a chain link fence for throwing an ice ball at Danny's first sweetheart. When he hit high school, Danny became a huge football fan, and grew into a supreme running back. However, nagging nerve injuries in his back and right leg kept him from wrestling in high school. He never did the amature thing. Rather than accepting doctor's orders, Vicious signed with local league HWW (Hamilton Wentworth Wrestling) with lifetime friend Adam Delicious. They teamed in the HWW for one match. They were immediately signed to the PWA (Professional Wrestling Alliance), where they became the premier team. Two weeks after the titles were commissioned, Danny and Adam captured the PWA Tag Team titles in a heated rivalry match with Travis and Austin Lane. The PWA slowed significantly, and Danny sought out a solo career. He signed with the NAWA (North American Wrestling Alliance) in early '99, and teamed with legendary jobber extrodinaire, Hardcore Josh, forming a team known as "The Flame Runners". The team did poorly, throughout their feud with The Out of Towners, and Josh was fired, leaving Vicious alone in a weird fed. He lost most of his NAWA matches, but at one NAWA PPV, Danny moved up largely, defeating three men in one night. Danny's career was set. Soon after, he was taken under the wing of NAWA legend Adam-X, and Adam turned Danny around, as Danny began to mount up wins against men like Nebula, Chris Stratford, and then NAWA champ, Johnny Storm. Danny's biggest win, however, was for the Hardcore title against Shawn Andrews. Vicious lost the title the next week to Jack Cade, and was injured by Troy Dallas and Johnny Storm. When Danny returned, a major monitairy scandal closed the NAWA's doors. Danny jumped from indy fed to indy fed. He moved to the PWD (Pro Wrestling Dynasty), where he and Adam were treated unfairly by the management, the YCW (Youngblood Championship Wrestling), where he captured the TV title the week the fed closed, the EYW (Extreme Yahoo Wrestling), where he and Adam shared a combined 21-0 singles record and a 6-0 tag record. However, just as that fed closed, Adam re-injured his neck, and was forced out of commission. This led Danny to the WWA (World Wrestling Alliance). The WWA was a gateway for Danny. He was surrounded with YCW and NAWA talent, talent he knew and some he could trust. He met up with old YCW stablemate Duke Briggs, and the two formed an awesome alliance, having each other's backs when needed. This helped Duke capture the WWA North American title, and Danny the WWA.com King of Extreme title. Danny never lost the title, but it was put up for grabs when Troy Dallas and a revenging Shawn Andrews again put Danny out of commission. When Vicious came back, he engaged in a brutal and often bloody feud with Ripper Longshanks. At the last WWA Supercard, Worldwide IV, Danny and Ripper met in the ugliest match in the history of wrestling: a barbed wire baseball bat match. The encounter left both men bloody and broken. Very soon after, the WWA closed. Danny next moved to the LBWF (Lils Boys Wrestling Federation). Adam Delicious had returned from his injury, and the team set out to conquor the tag division. However, Adam's neck and Danny's knee weren't up to 100%, and the duo failed plenty opportunities for victory. Their lone LBWF accomplishment was joining forces with the LBWF's top stable, The YoungBloods, consisting of Kai Scott, Hawk, Heidi, Dawn, Mr. Dude, and leader Jeffy Andrews. The stable reigned supreme until the LBWF closed, and Adam and Danny found themselves in the IWA (Innovative Wrestling Alliance). In the IWA, Vicious 'n' Delicious were slated to be the top team, and often were, staying aligned with Mr. Dude and his new stable, The Untouchables. In a clever ploy, VnD "turned" on the UT's and joined Jeffy's heel stable, The Unforgiven, in an attempt to bring the stable down from the inside. However, word leaked and Adam and Danny suffered a severe beating which sidelined Danny almost for good. Vicious underwent nerve surgery in his right leg to repair a damaged nerve compressed by a bone outgrowth. The operation was a complete success, and within months, Danny was working out and preparing for his in-ring return. When he was ready, Danny tried to go back to IWA, but was banned by president Alexander Zanatos. Turning to the CAL, Vicious found a new home in NPW (Northern Pro Wrestling). Vicious fit right in in NPW, and in his first match made a solid debut in an SWF Hardcore Ladder race for the vacant Extreme title, pitting him against such notables as Direwolf, TJ Killingbeck, and Rob Brimstone. Danny used the NPW opportunity to form the first interpromotional CAL tag team, with old partner Adam Delicious. They recieved a shot at the CAL tag titles against NPW's own Untouchables squad of TJ Killingbeck and Calvin Astroth, and fell short. Danny returned to Northern Pro, where he made what was then considered quite the upset, beating a hot Rob Brimstone for the TV title. Danny returned to the IWA, and won a match with commentator Cito Conarri, allowing him to compete in the IWA again when needed. He came back to Northern Pro, after losing the TV title at The Stand to Marty Sugar, and recaptured the title from Gregor Demonstone. He and Gregor soon aligned to take out Rob Brimstone, who was stalking Gregor's wife and child. Danny understood, having been through a rough childhood, and recently falling in love with NPW commentator and daughter of promoter Jack Mace, Ariel Mace. Danny continued to have his way with Rob, and after he and Gregor became co-holders of the TV title, Gregor lost it to Rob. For a few weeks, Danny had his way with Rob but kept coming short of capturing the title. Until recently. Danny Vicious won a 4 way ladder match, involving Rob Brimstone and Gregor and Dominic Demonstone, to capture the title for a record tying third time. Danny currently holds that title, having most recently successfully defending it in a Pyramid of Pain match involving the same four men. Danny is currently one of NPW's most dangerous forces, standing at 6'9 and weighing in at 260lbs. Wherever he goes, he's destined to be a force to be reconed with. And his time in NPW isn't over yet. Not by a long shot. |
