Sell the most raffle tickets and win a special gift. Details at the April meeting.

The Northford Women’s Club is holding their Annual Charity Raffle. There will be five prizes as follows:
First Prize: Handmade Sampler Quilt.
Second prize: Man’s Citizen watch.
Third prize: Handmade beveled stained glass panel.
Fourth prize: A $50 gift certificate redeemable at Bobby’s Pizza
Fifth prize: A $30 gift certificate redeemable at Supreme Seafood Restaurant.
Volunteers will man tables set up in front of area businesses and at local sports events starting April 7 to sell tickets. Proceeds from the raffle will go to the Northford Women’s Club Charity Fund.

Bargain Bus Trip to Mohegan Sun

On Sunday, February 15, the Northford Women’s Club GFWC is sponsoring a fun-filled afternoon at Mohegan Sun. A premier destination known the world over, some of Mohegan Sun’s attractions include more than 300,000 square feet of gaming excitement, including smoke-free areas, a 20,000 square-foot, world-class spa by Elemis, The Shops at Mohegan Sun, a 130,000 square-foot retail shopping experience, thirty restaurants and food and beverage outlets, a three-story crystal mountain, and a fifty-five foot indoor waterfall.
So, save your gasoline and leave the driving to us. The club was able to strike a fabulous deal with Affordable Bus, Inc. at $40 per person. All participants will receive a $10.00 buffet voucher and $20.00 in coupons for select gambling tables, so actually you will only pay $10 for the ride. What a bargain! Meet us at the Totoket Valley Elementary School parking lot in Northford no later than 11:45 A.M. The bus will leave at 12:00 sharp and arrive at Mohegan Sun at 1:00. On return, the buses will depart Mohegan Sun at 6:00 PM and arrive at the school at around 7:00 P.M.
