12/18/04: Not enough teams were available to make the Holiday Shootout Classic a full fledged tournament, but the Fox Chapel Falcons and The McHenry Massive were able to play an exciting best of 3 series for the Holiday Shootout Classic title. In the first game, the Falcons came out strong to take an early lead but McHenry closed in, scoring two quick goals at the end of the first period to take the momentum. In the second game, the Massive were the team that started strong, but the Falcons came back and won the game by a three goals. In game three, a few of the players from the Falcons were not available to play and the Massive took an easy victory. In the next few weeks more focus will be placed on the season by the NPHL including gaining teams in new areas, getting sponsors into place, and getting all the teams ready. The next tournament will be held in Cumberland, Md in late February. The North Pittsburgh Hockey League and all of its players and staff wish you Happy Holidays and great New Year. |

North/South Series Wrap Up |
Massive Dominate Again |
2/12/05: The McHenry Massive didn't have anything to prove, having won all NPHL events thus far. When the Massive confidently went into the North/South Series, it was obvious that they would be tough to beat, especially against an outmanned Falcons team. The Massive swept the series by winning game 1 by a score of 7-3 and game 2 by a score of 8-1. The next NPHL event will likely be an Allegheny Conference Tournament in mid March. The season begins on May 7th with Fox Chapel visting McHenry. |
Falcon goalie Brad Elwood played great, but couldn't hold off the high flying Massive |

A preview of the games and the upcoming season will be happening later in the week on the NPHL site as well as some other important tournament and scheduling announcements. |
