The clashing of metal sends Kid into action as he pushes Becky behind him. The lift doors fall away, revealing Kalet.

Kid looks at her, practically unreadable. "Was that really necessary?"

Suddenly, Kid senses something through the Force. He grabs Becky's hand.
"Follow me."
He takes off running and comes to where the children are. He looks right at Kalet, Becky beside him as he speaks so she can hear as well.
"Look," he says sharply. "I've made a mistake, I realize that. I'm human, I'm not perfect. And merely being a Jedi does not make me perfect. Although I know I should have known better, although I should have known not to hold Rebecca and kiss her while her husband was running rampant in the galaxy, I couldn't. Because..."
Kid pauses as he looks over at her. "Because I love her. I always have. Watching her family fall apart as Gerrin fell to the Dark Side and went on a killing spree was tearing her apart, and I was there for her. Whenever she lost her memories, I can't tell you there wasn't a part of me that was glad she forgot him after what he's done to her, their family, and the countless others across the galaxy. Kalet, I want her to be happy. I want her to be safe. And although I might have betrayed some sort of ancient Jedi writing regarding such behavior, I can't stop my heart from loving her. So if you feel this makes me untrustworthy for wanting to protect her and her family the same way you do, that's your choice. However I'm pleading you, do not take these children away from her mother. She may not remember it now, but that doesn't make the past untrue. Stay here with us, and help her become the mother she was. I promise you, it's the best thing for everyone involved."
He paused again. "If you think I'm oblivious to what's going on, you're wrong because I'm not. I know I made a mistake. But I hope that the mistake I made was for the good of this woman, whom I love more than anything, and for her children, whom I want to protect. Kalet, please."

She faces you with a stone face.
She practically spits the words out. "You are not worthy of respect Jedi. This is no longer a safe environment for the children. I was charged with bringing the children here because it was safe. But I see if they live here, they will become just as corrupt as you "light" Jedi are. If Becky still wishes to be a part of her children's lives, she may come, but dont impede our departure. One thing you dont know... and perhaps never will, was that Gerrin loved Becky. He loved her, and she loved him, even with all the darkness you seem to see with him. Yes.. he killed. Yes.. he slew.. "You speak of Gerrin's love for his wife. Yet I'm curious if you're aware of the severe beating Rebecca took from the hands of this husband, causing her to lose a child!? Well I was, because I've sat here and done nothing but care for this woman and protect her. And if you're going to stand here and compare my actions, based solely on love, to him killing innocents with the flick of a wrist, then you know less about the human race than I gave you credit for."

A sleek transport arrives at the Kathol Rift and gets teleported into the Rift interior, above the Praxeum moon. The transport lands at an open landing pad, and its lone occupant, a girl in her late teens dressed in a black flightsuit, a lightsaber clipped to her belt, steps out onto the landing pad and walks into the Praxeum.

Finished with discussing things with his sister, he takes some time to gather images and then suddenly hurl the images of Gerrin and Becky at Kid: Living peacefully and lovingly on Chandrila. The birth of the twins. Comforting her in times of crisis. Sacrifices made for her. Being always by her side after Kaylan was born. The way no matter what happened, they still loved each other. And to top it all off, images of Gerrin and Becky first meeting on Bespin and falling in love.

He kneels in the hallway, not powerful enough to move for quite some time having watched the woman he loved run away. Finally, Kid gets to his feet.
"It's time to set things right," he said aloud. "You've brought yourself to this level of the game, and now you'll face what comes your way like a Jedi."
He walks to the command center and enters a private office, turning on the viewing screen as he does so. He takes a seat behind the desk, and enters a deep meditation to regain his energy before Gerrin arrives.

Kalet is glowering. After a while, all four biomechs appear, all glowering, having shared in the information they found. The hologram appears.
"The preparations are complete."
"Good. Let's go."
To Nattala, Kalet glowers.
"You'll find out why, soon enough."
Pax Gladius lifts off and launches fighter escorts, as well as bringing all defensive systems online. It is teleported out of the rift, or it carves a bloody path through anything that gets in its way. Either way, it gets out and enters hyperspace.

He exits his meditation, feeling refreshed from the events that took place recently. He pushes a button on the terminal on his desk. "We're going to want that security team prepared and ready to go now. Double the team to twenty four members, if we have the personnel to spare. Also, where are we planning to house Mantella?"
A few seconds pass, and then the tech's voice returns. "We have a facility a few miles away from the praxeum. It's fairly secure. It's mainly used for storage, and I believe we've got alot of empty space there. It's completely separated from the Academy."
Kid frowns. "Fairly secure isn't good enough. I want that building packed with any spare defense and security equipment we have. Set up a make-shift prison facility inside, complete with a ysalamiri-protected cell. If Gerrin can even feel the Force inside of that thing, you've failed. Is that understood?"
"Yes sir," the tech stated. "We've sent orders for the remainder of our ysalamiri equipment to be sent to this building in speeders along with crew support. It should be ready soon."
"Keep me updated." Kid signed off the communications link.

Kid darts out of his office and makes his way to a speeder. As he walks to the hanger bay, he contacts Becky through the Force.
~Becky, I need you in the hanger bay. It's time.~
Meanwhile, in space, six of the A-9X5 Vigilance Interceptors are teleported out of the Rift as well as a large transport with docking capabilities. The transport sends a message to Gerrin's ship.
"Gerrin Mantella, you are instructed to dock with this transport. Upon docking, you will board the transport weaponless. No cloak, no cape, no loose clothing. We'll wait for you to change if need be. Once you have finished, you will cross the docking passage into the transport, alone, and will be restrained by various ysalamiri-carrying guards. Once you have been secured on this vessel, we will be teleported inside the Rift and taken to your holding location. Is this acceptable?"

The transport begins docking procedures. Once completed, the hatch joining both Gerrin's ship and the transport opens, and ysalamiri-equipped Praxeum personnel motion for Gerrin to come across. As he does so, he can himself enter a Force bubble enveloping the ship.

Before teleporting inside the Rift, Gerrin is thoroughly searched by the personnel and any foreign bodies are removed and placed in a separate containment box. Gerrin is then placed in electric binders with four guards surrounding him as the transport is teleported inside and begins to head towards the containment facility.

Becky and Kid pull up to the containment facility and are met by a handful of armed personnel. Kid approaches one of them. "What's the status?" he askes as they walk into the building.
"We've set up an electric-reinforced cell in the main storage room, which has been cleared. Ysalamiri-equipped guards are around the perimeter and will be joined by the ones transporting Gerrin. Once Gerrin has been secured in the cell, Lady Clytyc can speak with him."
"She's not to be in the cell with Gerrin, merely talking to him from outside, is that understood?" Kid said harshly but out of concern.
"Yes, sir. We have the entire building surrounded with speeders and as many armed personnel as we could muster."
"It'll have to do," Kid said as he looked up, seeing the transport and the four escort fighters come into view. He grabs Becky by the arm and takes her into a separate room so that Gerrin won't see her as he's entering the facility. "Trust me," he says softly.
The transport sets down, and the ysalamiri equipped guards escort Gerrin from the ship to his electric-reinforced cell. The door is shut hard behind him, and Kid Sampson walks out from another room into Gerrin's line of sight.

Kid steps back and motions for Becky to come forth from the room. He speaks to her quietly.
"Once you're within a certain distance from the cell, you'll feel yourself enter the nullified Force bubble. This is for all our protection. Don't touch the electrified bars. I'll be in that room, watching."
Kid bows his head to Gerrin and takes his place in the room Becky emerged from, sitting back in a chair as he watched screens which displayed feed from various security cameras around the large room.

The /Second Chance/ exits hyperspace at the rift.
He leaves the bridge to go find Cera. She had been in the medbay the entire trip back. She seemed Stable, but he could feel something was brewing within her.
He headed to the meadbay, stills tiff form the last encounters he has had. He mused to himself that he needed a real rest. Maybe the Nr had more planets for him to re-take?
The door to the medbay opened and he saw Cera on one of the med=beds. She looked peaceful, and he wanted to let her sleep, but she ould have wanted to know when they had arrived back.

She looks small in her jedi cloak, her hands lost in the folds. Her eyes are sunken and vacant as she looks at Gerrin through the bars. She's deathly pale and it seems a physical shock to her when she enters the ysalamiri bubble, like she's never experienced it before.
