1.  Zoom shot of Bonga gully on a clear morning, 29 Feb.  Compare with evening shot #4.

4.  Shot from exact same spot as #1 around 6:30 PM.  Same date.  Note detail of lava flow (Bonga gully) and compare with #1.  Extent of lava flow almost going beyond the 6-kilometer permanent danger zone prompting PHIVOLCS to extend same to 8 kms.  Downtown Legazpi City lies some 5-6 kilometers southeast of the tip of lava flow.

2.  Shot from a hill south of the Legazpi pier facing directly north last Monday (Feb 28), between 3-4 PM.  Note huge ash cloud moving southwest towards Camalig-Guinobatan-Ligao area.  Rolling "smoke" by the lower right side of Mayon was actually lava flowing, burning vegetation as it snakes down.

5.  Shot from one kilometer west of Daraga, 29 Feb., around past 3 PM.  Ash cloud being "pulled down" by wind making it look like a "lateral eruption".  This was the worst so far as it was followed by series of many more eruptions and even higher columns of ash clouds.

3.  Shot from Cagsawa church ruins (buried by lava and lahar during 1814 eruption) S-SW.  Note same column of ash cloud speeding towards SW or Guinobatan area.  Around 4:30 PM; same date as #1.
