Stutter Across America, FRIENDS: The National Association of Young People Who Stutter has created Stutter Across America: An Adventure in Stuttering Awareness to bring the public's attention to the lives of young people who stutter in a dramatic way. Traveling in vans each emblazoned with the Stutter Across America Banner, this courageous group will stop along the way to educate and inspire all who will listen — as well as create a bond of friendship with each other which will last a lifetime.
At the stops, we will hold workshops, show films, give presentations, survey the public in shopping centers as to their knowledge of stuttering, and hopefully talk to the media as we travel along. Then we will end up at the FRIENDS' Convention.
