Unidentified gang attacks fishing boat in Awaters, one killed
Ambon, May 1 (ANTARA) - A gang of unidentified trouble-makers early Saturday
attacked a fishing boat off the beach of Latuhalat, Nusaniwe, Ambon, leaving one of
the 19 men on board dead.
The victim, Reky Mahulete (13), was sleeping in the boat`s enigne room when his
head was hit by a bullet fired by the trouble-makers.
Nusaniwe district police chief Second Inspector J.A. Peilouw who confirmed the
incident, said the fishing boat was only about 220 meters from the beach when the
attack occurred. It was then still dark.
