Security personnel made ready to anticipate anniversary of RMS
Ambon, April 19 (ANTARA) - Around 1,000 military and police personnel have been
made ready to anticipate against the 54th anniversary of Republic of South Maluku
(RMS) separatist movement on April 25.
Maluku regional police chief Brigadier General Bambang Sutrisno said here on
Monday that the security personnel would conduct preventive measures such as
calling on the people not to be provoked by misleading rumours spread by
irresponsible individuals to follow the illegal organization.
He said police stations in subdistricts and towns had also been ordered to set up
taskforces to anticipate any eventuality.
