Home-Made Bombs Found in Poso
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:A total of 21 home-made bombs were found in Poso Kota
and Poso Pesisir sub district, Central Sulawesi, on Saturday (17/4).The low-explosive
bombs had been hidden in a chocolate plantation in the area.
Brig. Gen. Aryanto Sutadi, the National Police headquarters' Transnational and
Security Director I, made this announcement at his office on Monday (19/4).
"We found the bombs by using metal detectors during the raid on the area," he said.
The bombs, which had been hidden in a 5-cm diameter pipe, were exploded by the
police.
Up to today, security personnel have conducted investigations of local residents in
order to find the people who had hidden the bombs.
Despite the finding of the bombs and the recent shooting incidents, Sutadi said he
considers that the security in Poso is relatively good. (Martha Warta Silaban -
