Although the Northwestern College Hockey Team has had a rough start to the 2002 - 2003 season, team members are expecting better results in the second half of the season. The second half kicks off on January 17th and 18th, when the Northwestern College club hockey team will make its first out-of-state road trip to Hancock, Michigan to compete with Finlandia University (USCAA). Team Captain Ryan Woytcke noted "This is a great opportunity for the team. Obviously, we're hoping to put a game or two in the win column, but just as importantly, a trip of this nature enhances our credibility as a team." Woytcke expects Finlandia to provide some stiff competition, but is looking forward to the challege. According to Woytcke "We haven't played anywhere near our potential. With a month to prepare, we should be ready to go on the 17th and 18th."
