I've been happily married for 19 years. We will be married 20 years on March 26th. I don't have any grandchildren yet, but I've got three kids ages 7, 11 & 16. Since my youngest kid is only 7 and in first grade, I don't have any illusions about retiring too early! I'm also feeling like an old codger when I go to those first grade parents' nights! I'm an Internist Primary Care Doctor and I work in a large group for one of the local hospitals. I have about 2000 patients. Yes, I've heard the Dr. Payne jokes, and I still enjoy the name recognition! I have a sideline job, also...I work as a medical-legal consultant in medical malpractice cases. I've done it for about 8 or 9 years, and I've actually testified in front of a jury a few times - real O.J. stuff, jury and all! Mostly reading, though. So if you want to sue your doctor, I know 20 or 30 good attorneys who'd love to talk to you! I'm pretty boring. I'm a solid introvert, and I hate crowds, so E-mail is ideal for me (I don't send out many copies, being a good introvert). I love being on time (funny for a doctor, huh?). I also teach confirmation class at my local Presbyterian church. I like to sing, sang in good high school and college groups, but never had any talent for instruments. I have a power boat that I keep on a lake near Cincinnati. My most exciting activities are floating on my boat and playing Q-Zar (a laser combat game) with my kids. The boat is a blessing and a curse...it's a lot of fun, and it's one of the few ways on this earth that you can put three kids into a space smaller than your living room and keep them entertained for a whole day. We've been boaters for about 10 years. The two happiest days in a boat-owner's life are the day he buys the boat, and the day he sells the boat. Old joke, but one that every boater understands! My pleasure reading, when I have the time (usually only on vacations) is the cheap spy novel or technothriller. Speaking of vacations, I am an avid snow-skier. I go out West to Colorado or Utah twice every winter (expensive habit), once with my family and once with some guys from my neighborhood, been doing that for about 15 years. Favorite quote: "It'll burn off by noon..." (referring to cloudy days on vacation...a Payne family favorite). Well, now I've really told you just about everything about myself that is even remotely interesting. Do I sound like you? Or is this astrology stuff not all that it's cracked up to be? Look forward to hearing from lots of 44-year-old Turkey-people. We Sagatarians must stick together!

I have one 9 year old son.... he will be 10 in December 28 ... which reminds me of my lucky number.... 28 ... the day I was born ... the day my son was born and the day I got married! Zippee! Worked since I was 14 (at Montgomery Ward's in California). When I got pregnant, decided to stay at home. Have a business making home decorating items and dolls for craft fairs. I'm basically a writer, have worked in newspaper and radio. I mostly play tennis now ... am captain of the team ... volunteer at school ... and thinking about looking for some voice work in the area. Am a native Californian ... we've been here almost 12 1/2 years ... since we got married ... we have fish ... we travel a bit so having a dog is sort of out of the question How about you all? I have some great age quotes I read at my friend's birthday last week (she was also turning 45) here goes ... You know you're getting old when: ... getting lucky means you've found your car in the parking lot. ... you wake up with that morning after feeling, and you didn't do anything the night before. My favorite is: ... Last Will and Testament: Being of sound mind, I spent all my money. My favorite color is purple. Doesn't anyone else have short term memory loss like me? Are you pursuing your life dream? Are you happy with your life at 45? Are you trying to write a children's book? Volunteering at your child's school ... what's going on? Does anyone play tennis? Happy Birthday to you all! When I blow out those candles in my pumpkin pie.... I'll be thinking of you!

I am currently in the Turtle Valley String Band we play old time music. I play bass and fiddle. I also like to draw, work with clay, and do watercolors. I like to read, too. I just read Fingerprints of the Gods by Graham Hancock. If you were ever remotely curious about the pyramids; this is a book that will whet your curiosity. Even if you don't agree with his theories and conclusions; The facts that he presents about the different pyramids and other man-made structures in Egypt and South America are incredible. I had no idea how complex and sophisticated these structures were. A favorite web site: The Rainforest Action Network

Well fellow 11/28ers, I moved out of Michigan years ago and have resided in Arizona for about 17 years. I work for the Arizona Department of Corrections as an administrator over programs. I attended Western Michigan University back in the 70's, then got a Master's Degree at Notre Dame in Indiana. After being in Arizona some years, I went back and completed my Ph.D. in Psychology. I am married, for a second time. My first spouse passed away. I have six kids counting two my second wife had and two I had, plus two we had. The oldest is 22, the youngest is 9. In total, 4 girls (oldest, 3rd, 4th, 5th) and 2 boys (2nd and 6th). Always considered myself a moderate republican (oxymoron these days), like to read, write (prose and poetry), fly fish, etc. Work too much, play too little. Been into computers forever it seems. Started doing statistical programming on mainframes in college. Had first personal (Commodore) computer 15 years ago. Online with modems since '83, back in the days of 300 baud. Compuserve account for 13 years. Was using Internet in mid eighties. So that is a brief description of me...

I'm an artist (graphic & fine art), interests tend toward massage & nanotech, nature & science, metaphysics & reality, I love to laugh, get along with most everyone, and enjoy a good party. Married (2 years this Halloween) to an Austrian Princess named Gizella. We have 5 cats. This is a great idea for a web page - it will be interesting to see what it evolves into.
PS: Our Oriental sign is the Rabbit. Luckiest of all signs, we are talented and articulate. Affectionate, yet shy, we seek peace throughout our lives. We are compatable with Sheep & Boar.

Life is very hectic for me - I'm a homeschooling mom. I have 3 girls; 8, 7 & 4. Prior to staying home with my girls I worked in the medical field (administrative). We live in the desert in Southern CA. My husband and I met in Chehalis, WA. How is your outlook on aging? I hate it, although, I think I'm aging OK. Having young children helps I guess. I get lots of physical exercise & TRY to eat right. I have to confess that I love AOL but the internet drives me so crazy with its slowness. Maybe now that I have a new super duper computer it will be a little faster!

My name is Rachael Thompson. I was born on November 28, 1951 at approximately 11:28 pm in the small town of Bryan, Ohio (the only place in the world where Etch-A-Sketches are made). I left home at 17 to get out into the world by joining the Navy where I was trained and worked as a Mandarin Chinese and Arabic linguist. I learned computers while I was in and got a job in that field when I got out in 1977. I currently live in Southern New Jersey on a small farm with my partner. We have a dog, 3 cats, a horse and about a billion rabbits, voles and squirrels. I work as a Senior Computer Scientist for a local major computer software firm where I've been for the last 17 years. I also teach karate at a nearby school - Okinwa Kenpo Karate Academy in Pitman, NJ. I am a musician - I play several instruments with my majors being piano and guitar. My favorite hobbies are scuba diving (I'm a volunteer diver at the New Jersey State Aquarium), backpacking (I'm also a volunteer instructor in the Outdoor Club of South Jersey's Basic Backpacking and Wilderness Survival Course), bicycling, skiing, canoeing and absolutely anything else that can be done outdoors away from technology. I think this is a really neat idea. You never really stop to think that there are probably a whole bunch of other people born on the same day you were, especially one that every so many years lands on a major holiday like Thanksgiving. I do, however, prefer not to let some people know that my birthday lands on Thanksgiving because I always get the same analogy of equating Turkey with my birthday by some closet comedian. Looking forward to hearing from more Turkey People.

I fit the Sagittarius mold fairly well. Many, many people think that I have very weird views about life and spirituality. I am more focused on the ethereal nature of the Universe and on the inner workings of Self. I believe strongly in Soul travel, reincarnation, spirits and more. I have even introduced my guardian angel to others. Hobbies: Birding and Nature Thanks for reading this!

I feel fortunate to be a Sagittarian. It seems only fitting that our constellation is in the brightest part of the Milky Way! I am an artist, I write articles (do not claim to be a writer), and write poetry when things really get bad. I haven't had to write any poetry in some years now which I perceive as a good thing. I was raised in a strict dogmatic religion and still call myself a "recovering" Catholic. Of course Catholicsm only whetted my curiousity for astrology, alchemy, reincarnation, metaphysics, and wild all-night parties where excess is the order and furniture sometimes gets broken. I can be very sensitive, consider intuition a great gift, and have, at times, been generous to a fault. Travel is my drug and I have friends in scattered places. I own a 1963 Chevrolet "Hippy" Bus that I'm turning into an RV for road trips. I had a bonafide "near-death" experience in 1971, been an avid motorcyclist since 1972, and love to fly in jets (it's the G-force baby!) Life has been good and seems to be getting better. I have absolutely no Earth in my astrological chart and need to spend time on the land camping and hiking to stay "grounded." In those times on the land I am struck by the shear beauty of this planet on which we have the privilege to live, the inter-connectedness of all life, and our responsibility to protect Gaia, as she nurtures us. I am starting an Internet marketing company to sell my original designs on T-shirts and my web page can be found at gentlekharma.com. This website is pretty remedial right now (am just now learning html) but it is soon (2-3 weeks) to evolve into something grand. I can be e-mailed at zendude@trib.net. I am also starting a free bulletin board for the counter-culture which will be found at flowerchild.com so stay tuned. I'll end with a poem that came to me on the day I hit bottom. It reminded me of who I am and has given me much strength and comfort over the years:
"SONG OF SAGITTARIUS"
