Setup: Andy tells Connie he will see if John Irvin is free to
babysit that night so the two of them can go out. Connie agrees and
offers to take care of all their evening plans herself.
(Scene at a very nice restaurant-Connie and Andy eating dinner)
A: I gotta admit Connie, I was surprised by your dinner choice but
this place turned out great.
C: I'm glad you like it.
A: It makes sense though, a fancy hotel like this would have a nice
restaurant. I never would have thought of this place. Anyways, what
do you have planned for after dinner?
C: (Pause)..... I got us a room.
A: A room? What, a room here?
C: Yes. I thought some privacy would do us both some good.
A: Was John part of this? Did you tell him we were staying overnight.
C: I wasn't planning on staying the night, just a couple of hours
alone without the kids.
A: (Rubbing his forehead) Connie, I wished you had told me about this.
C: (getting slightly disgusted) Well, maybe I didn't tell you because
I knew you would try and talk me out of it.
A: No, I wished you had told me about it so I wouldn't have ordered
so much.
C: Oh.
A: I think it's a great idea...(Quickly putting down fork) Well I'm
finished. (waiter passes by, Andy snaps his fingers) Hey, can you
bring us our check.
Waiter: Right away sir.
A: Better yet just charge it to our room.
Waiter: Certainly. What is your room number?
C: (getting out her key) Room 312
Waiter: Sign here and have a good night.
A: Thanks, we'll leave your tip here on the table. Ready to go?
C: I'm ready.
(Andy and Connie leave the restaurant and walk through the lobby to
the elevators. Andy pushes the button and puts his arm around Connie
as they wait.) Fade to credits.
