2003: The Year of Change

Paul got his hair cut off in July. Fifteen years it's been down his back in a pony tail, but it's the end of an era.

It's been quite some time since we updated our news. We have uploaded all our photos of the trip to Ireland (under 'Adventures' section). Appart from that, what have we been up too? Well, July and August brought with them some scorching weather. 34 degrees in london! Who would have believed it!? We spent a lot of time round at Pat and Nicks house, enjoying their company and back garden. As we had 6 weeks break, we had a lot of time to sit out in the sun. Our break also had 2 excursions: One was a 6 day tour of all Ireland. Hardly done justice in such a short time. The second was a few days in Barcelona to catch some rays and relax.

August and September saw the start of the new school year. Paul is still in the Nursery whilst Tina is in Year 5 and holding lots of responsibilities (spelling?). The first half term is always stressful and passed quickly. Our mid-term break was spent on the Isle of Gurnsey, visiting Tania, a friend of ours from our old flat. A great break but slightly hedonistic. We both put on about 8 pounds as a result...

This brings us to October/November where we find ourselfs in to the 4th week of 7 before our christmas break. Hectic times as we have school nativity plays as well as staff functions etc. Our Christmas break will be spent in Eggerding again (see 'Adventures' section) with Tina's Aunty. Should be a white christmas, which will be nice.

It's been a while since our last update. We've been quite social since living in North London. We are both doing well with our respective fitness programs.

Paul rides (about 15 km total) to work each day on his £30 bicycle. Gym three times a week and has lost almost three stone. He's started playing touch rugby with some mates from his school. The photo on the right is of his Karate group run by his blackbelt mate. They all just passed a grading! He's the only guy, but I don't think he minds.

Tina goes to the gym probably more often and makes use of their range of free classes. She's getting really into kickboxing at the moment. She's doing really well on the weight loss, a total of 58 pounds (nearly 4 1/2 stone) and she is looking really good!

Summer is closing in on us (6 weeks to go) and we are expecting to see some good weather. So far not much, but we live in hope. Only 7 weeks left for this final term at school, then a 6 week holiday with 2 planned excursions!

Our old flat

It's not the most suitable accomadation being a rather cramped studio, but it has served us well this last year. In Early August 2003 we will be moving to a 1 bedroom flat (hopefully with a garden).

Situated just of the main high street of our borough, it's perfect as a base of opperations. Within riding distance from Pauls work, and a centre for public transportation for all our travelling needs.
