.......yes back at the Heritage Pavilion more traditional music by an innovative group. La musique Cajun par un bon groupe de femmes.

Mais oui, Jane Vidrine (from St. Louis!), Christine Balfa, Lisa Reed & Ann Savoy on accordion. Cajun music presented by the fabulous Magnolia Sisters! A girl group that has come of age and a second CD released early this year. What's a girl gonna do when she has the blues? Not many women have played Cajun music until recent times. |

Of course, Festivals Acadiens would not be complete without the boy wonder..... on ne peut pas avoir une fête sans Steve!

Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys on the main stage. With a new bass player (I missed Kyle Hebert) but still has Rockin' Roddie Romero, David Greeley on fiddle & Kevin Dugas on drums. |
Steve showcased some of his new material which was, well,
not so Cajun. He still continues to experiment, but the crowd up front still
loves him. You see I had to settle for a rear view!
Le groupe a joué sa nouvelle musique qui n'est pas Cajun.
Ils continuent d'expérimenter, mais les gens les aiment encore! Il y avait
beaucoup de monde et je n'ai pas pu faire ce photo devant la scène!
