GLENN KATIGBAK TOLENTINO was born on Jan. 25, 1956 in Rosario, Batangas, Philippines. He is happily married to MADRILYN BATALLA LAQUI of San Juan, Batangas. GLENN and MADRILYN are blessed with three lovely children - MA. DIANNE - 18 yrs. old, a 3rd year Information Technology student at St. Scholastica's College, Manila; MA. KARIZA - 16 yrs. old, 1st year Biology student in UST, Manila and MA. PAULA CHESCA, 12 yrs. old, currently 1st year high school at Manressa School, Paranaque. He and his family now resides in Ayala Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Philippines.

Glenn works for Mapfre Asian Insurance Corporation, located in Legaspi Village, Makati City. The company will move its headquarters later this year to a bigger and better location: Mapfre Asian Corporate Center, Acacia Drive, Madrigal Business Park, Ayala Alabang, Muntinlupa.(Glenn would have no excuse to be late.)

After graduating from De La Salle-Lipa in 1972, Glenn took up BS Chemical Engineering in Mapua Institute of Technology and graduated in March 1977. He was hired by FGU Insurance Corp. of Ayala Group in Sept. 1977 as a risk engineer. In January 1988, he passed the Chemical Engineering board examination. Engineer Glenn worked briefly for Caltex, Philippines as a Safety Engineer, then went back to FGU and stayed there until 1988. While in FGU, he took up MBA at Ateneo University on a scholarship grant from the company but unable to finish the thesis. He later joined his present employer, Mapfre Asian Insurance Corp., a Spanish controlled company who is the biggest in Spain and Latin America. He now holds the position of Vice-President for Non-Motor Underwriting.

Glenn is forever grateful to our alma mater DLS-Lipa for the knowledge acquired whilst in high school especially about its advanced curricula in Algebra, Mathematics, Geometry, English and Calculus. This helped him a lot to be able to breeze through these subjects in college, as though the tide was with him. He is also very thankful for La Salle's religious teachings that have molded him to what he is today - sometimes still sinful but always finding the way to go back to God's heavenly embrace. Glenn feels that being a La Salle alumnus gave him all the opportunities to rub elbows with the leaders/future leaders of the country (i.e., in Banking and Finance, Military, Judiciary, Education, Health Care, Industrial Engineering, Petrochemical Industry, Computer and Information Technology) - the members of the elite Class Red 505, Batch 1972.
