Yipee - 2 weeks holiday now for Easter.  Hopefully I won't end up spending all the time off as I did yesterday - on the PS2.  My original package didn't have a memory card, so I have only had the Arcade Mode of Gran Turisimo so far.  Yesterday morning my Amazon order arrived with the card and I'm afraid I ended up spending most of the day doing my licence tests, taking part in races in the Sunday Cup and generally dicking around with my car.

I will have to ration myself a limited number of hours per day - it'll just be too embarrassing to go back to work after Easter and have to tell people what I did with my holiday!

Stuart, I know you said you were a GT addict - what car upgrade have you found to be the most significant enhancement?

If anyone else is reading this, please leave a comment - I'm starting to find the internet a rather lonely place!

You would probably be better off asking my 13 year old son but from what I remember suspension and handling mods are the best to start with. Personally my favorite game of all time was "Driver", although I think this may have been for the ps 1. Happy racing and you can always lie about what you did in the holidays.

Thanks for the advice - I've had a "little" play today and have won a few more races and won enough credits to upgrade the suspension, traction and give the engine a boost for a higher straight line speed.

I will have a look around for a copy of Driver - I think that I have played it once before on a friend's machine.

Ah, Gran Turismo.
Once, I was its slave... Somewhat luckily though, I was so bad at three and four that there was little point in continuing.

The Driver you should be looking for is DRIVER: Parralel Lines. Under no circumstances get "Driv3r", or you will be weeping bitter, salty tears down your chin by tea time.

Thanks - that was a close shave - I'd been about to go down the Driv3r route - my chin can now remain saline free.
