So, what have we learnt today?
3 or 4 helpings of stuff and nonsense every week. Come and get it while it's hot.
It was the best of times

I'm annoyed I only found this out this afternoon.

Last night I slept through a most amazing mathematical time:

01:02:03 on 04/05/06

I must make sure I don't miss the 6th June - that will have an altogether more satanic ring to the whole thing.

It's been a while since we've had some interesting dates - I guess the last spell was in the early 90s with dates such as 06/1/90 which read the same upside down and the palindromic dates of 19/11/91 etc.

I remember, as a child, working out when the 1981st minute and 1981st hour of 1981 took place and went into school armed with this knowledge to impress my teacher.  I don't recall being recommended for any awards or anything for this mathematical feat - I can vaguely remember being called names by my classmates though.

If only they'd had blogs in those days...

And here I thought it was going to be a blog about 24...

I can relate to this exactly by the way.

My girlie and I still get excited when the radio controlled clock rolls over to the hour the exact second the pips do.

Yeah, I was surprised at how 24 my microwave clock looked after I took the picture yesterday afternoon. It's a shame it doesn't make the same sound effects as it counts down.

I've been thinking about getting a radio controlled clock for a while now - I can imagine the satisfaction of a pips to clock change correlation.

Ah, reminds me of the great thrill of the twentieth day of February, 2002 at 10:02 pm, which on a military type clock, read the same backward as forward -200202202002- 20:02, 02/20/2002 (at least here in the US, where we say the day after the month. Over by you, it would be 200220022002, right? Oooer! Also very cool!
I remember that Man of the House and I let the kids stay up to "experience" this. Oh, we are so weird, aren't we?
