I am Thai and it is easier to call me Kwan.   I am from Bangkok, Thailand.   I had been in Melbourne 5 times before moving to live here.   I got married in February.    I used to work as a secretary for many years since I graduated, and I love my career.  I had a nice boss and many nice friends in Bangkok.

Presently, I am an English student of AMES.    Today (February 14, 2003) is my first day at AMES, so it is a bit exiting for me.   I think English is very important to me if I would like to get a good job especially the job I love.   I have been studying English for many years but I think my English has not improved very much.   It is probably because I lack practice.    English is the second language in Thailand, most of Thais cannot speak English, so I spoke Thai nearly all the time when I was in Bangkok.

The first time I went to Melbourne I stayed in a flat in Elwood which is opposite the seaside.   It was very nice but very expensive to live there.   At present my husband and I live in Oakleigh East. It is a nice place and close to the shopping centers, particularly close to Springvale Market.
