Aria TA-62 (Titan Artist), ES-335 style archtop
The Aria TA-62 is the top 'o the line ES-335 style
semi-acoustic electric guitar for Aria. With a set neck,
completely bound body top/back, neck, headstock,
fingerboard, and f-holes, this gorgeous guitar exudes style.
The gorgeous, transparent amber finish allows the flamey
maple grain to shine through.
Tone for days
The Grover Rotomatic tuners keep her perfectly in tune while
the USA-made Seymour Duncan pickups make her sing loud
and clear.
In the neck, you'll find a Seymour Duncan '59 PAF
which is one of the sweetest sounding pickups you'll ever play.
AlNiCo all the way; dual uncovered coils.
In the bridge, there is a Seymour Duncan JB for screaming
leads that drive a tube amp like crazy! Smooth, clean, loud,
and strong, those are the qualities of the JB pickup. At 16k
ohms, it packs plenty of punch!
In the middle setting with both pickups on, you won't believe
the tone - it sounds glassy, jangly and very much like
an acoustic guitar. Using your chorus effect on this position
you'll swear she sounds like a 12 string.
There is NO (zero, nada) noise with these pickups either.
With this guitar, you can rock all night or jazz out at your leisure.
Versatility is the middle name of this guitar. With tone
for days and excellent sustain, you'll marvel at how
professional this guitar sounds. Now, keep in mind that this guitar
is in the same aural class as a Gibson ES-335 and is a bit brighter than
a big jazz box. Think Larry Carlton of ForePlay. If you like his tone,
you'll love this guitar.
This guitar is from my personal collection.
I bought her in 1998. In addition to the price of the guitar,
I paid over $250 for two Seymour Duncan USA-made pickups + installation,
gold Grover Rotomatic tuners + installation, and a recent pro setup.
As such, I have about $800 of real money in this
guitar. I'm a realist and know that as soon as you buy a guitar, you
lose money if you sell it, but I need to move some gear out of my
house... fast.
What's wrong with the guitar?
This guitar is truly in better 'n new shape with the pups and tuners,
but there is some very slight tarnish of the gold on edges of the bridge. Otherwise,
the gold gleams, the finish is extra glossy and there are no breaks, cracks, finish
checking or any other bad thing to be found.
