Dulaney High School, Timonium MD
This is a plain-jane page to see if it draws any attention for folks who graduated from Dulaney Valley Senior High School (Dulaney High) in Timonium Maryland in 1974.
I am Greg DiGiorgio.
Perhaps you attended Loyola High in the early 70's... graduated from Dulaney in '74... lived in Timonium, Springlake, Cockeysville, Towson... went to St. Joseph's Catholic School (in Texas, MD) until 8th grade, knew me or my family when we lived on Harcroft Road in Springlake/Timonium from which we moved in 1975-6 to VA... It's funny to see those homes going for over $500K now when my dad paid $22K in 1964... geezsch and most of 'em don't even have garages!
I hadn't updated this page since 2006 and now it's 2008 and I'm 52yo, so I thought I'd update the page even though it hasn't drawn much attention, though I did hear from Marty Schaller, Penny Young, and Susan Easterday a couple of years back. I didn't know Susan personally, but I was neighbors with Penny and her family on Harcroft Road. I was also best friends with Marty back in the day.
A few names that I remember include:
- Mike McDonough
- Chuck Ensor
- Mike Black
- Pat Black
- Johnny Snapp
- Marty Schaller
- Mike Schlicht
- Patty Young
- Penny Young
- Leslie Roesch
- Greg Roesch
- Steve Johnson
- Rob Siefert
- Dennis Feely
- John McGrath
- Richard Ingsley
- David Bolesta
- John Fava
- Keith Carney
- Bill McLaughlin
It's a long shot, but as I get older I wonder what happened to old friends. This is what I think I know about their current whereabouts:
- Richard Inglsley - aka Mad Scientist; sadly passed away in his late teens/early 20's from a drug overdose; RIP MS, you were a good soul.
- Marty Schaller - lives in Southern Fla; no kids, currently un-married
- Penny Young - lives in the NE; married, husband a successful business man
- Patty Young - lives in California last I heard
That's it! So if you know the whereabouts of others, please write me at
oasysco@cox.net.
As for me? Well, let's see...
- I've been married since 1982 to the same lady. I've got two great kids, both of whom as of 2008 are in college; one attending the same college my wife and I graduated from.
- I had back surgery in 2004.
- I got a BS degree in Computer Science back in the 80's when it was fashionable to go into CompSci. Got into applications programming in the 80's.
- Currently Asst Director of IT for a local government.
- I taught computer programming at the junior college level for 15 years part-time. Great gig, but tiring with an additional 9-5'er.
- I took up guitar completely out of boredom in 1976 when I moved to VA. Joined my first working/gigging band at age 45 and played out for several years in bars/clubs before calling it quits. Yes, we actually got paid and played out in SE virginia and NE North Carolina. You can check out our demo CD or our
first professional venue if you want.
- I jog and work out with weights to try and keep ahead of the aging curve.
As for the future, professionally speaking, I'm *this* close to starting a Master's of Public Administration program since my professional life is primarily technical management now. Even at 52, I'm thinking of two things: retirement and going back into teaching *and* maybe, just maybe trying my hand at city management, perhaps in a CIO position as I near 60. We'll see...
Things I like to do include:
- Riding my motorcycle (as of 2008, new Honda VTX1300S)
- Hanging out with the wife and kids; the wife has recently started to like riding on my bike and my son rides his own
- Checking out music gear - guitars, amps, and pedals, though I have eased way back from owning a dozen amps and a dozen guitars at a time to just two of each with a Gibson ES-175 jazz box being my prized guitar, though I've owned and loved many a Gibson archtop :)- You can see pix of me, listen to my old band, check out my resume, on my web page. The pix are of me from 45yo-49yo.
- Listening to and playing jazz, rock, and blues
- Going out to eat (Gosh, I love that! Sad, but true for those of us over 40!)
- Spending time with family
- Attending my local Catholic church; where I was involved in the welcoming ministry for 12 years and my kids served as altar workers for 6 or 7 years.
- Seeing my kids accomplish things I would have never tried
- Visiting family in NC
In case you are wondering, most of my immediate family is still alive. My dad passed in Jan of 2003 due to a stroke and complications from a host of other ailments brought on by being overweight his entire life. All of his direct relatives have also passed, including my grandmother, Busi, for those of you who may remember her. My mom (Mary) and three brothers (Keith, Bruce, Scott) are still kicking and live within spitting distance of one another here in SE Virginia. Bruce manages a clothing store for a living.

Received this email from Susan (formerly, Easterday) Cordero in August 2006 after she found this page...
I would have graduated from Dulaney Sr. High in 1974 if it weren't for the fact that my parents moved to South Florida in the middle of my jr. yr.Therefore, I graduated from Hollywood Hills High School in Hollywood, Fl. instead. Truly, I loved Dulaney Sr. High. And, I am very upset with myself that I did not keep in touch with the people that I hung out with: Karen Fearer, Sharon Kochevar, Dawn Hedley, Cindy Sherman, Gay Royal,Randy Breast ('73), Dave Crawford ('73)Joanne Hendricks, Paula Antetomaso(dated her brother for a short time),Frank Dooley, Donna Ellington, Pat Glover, Gwen Hicks, Eileen Hornlein, Alan Danielson (what a wonderful person!!),Drue (twin-can't remember her last name), etc. If you hear from any of them please refer them to me. (John McGrath was in some classes of mine.)I used to date Greg Dively.
As for me, I've been married for 20 yrs. I graduated from Florida State University with a BS in Criminology & a minor in Psychology. My potential clashes with my interests in that I have not been able to find the perfect match of a job. (I still do not know what I want to be when I grow up.) I have worked for the Post Office, UPS, the phone co., etc. Currently, I work as an Admin. Asst. to an Administrator for a Home Health Hospital-based agency.
My 2 sisters & brother live in Ohio. Unfortunately, my parents have both passed away. My family keeps shrinking.
My husband has a small 1 person based company that not only pays the bills but, he enjoys running. We recently bought 5 acres in the Lake Co., Fl. area near Mt. Dora. This is a very quaint section of Fl just northwest of Orlando. (It is so populated in Broward Co., that I feel like a sardine!!)
I make homemade cards via rubberstamping as a hobby. We used to go to Marlins baseball games until they dismantled the team for the 2nd time in their history. I absolutely love baseball!!Playing cards is relaxing but nobody in S. Fl. seems to play cards. Plus, my husband & I enjoy
traveling.
If you hear from Karen Fearer or others listed above please pass onward.
Take care,
Susan (Easterday) Cordero
