Day 1 |
||||||||||
I arrived in Tokyo today after a flight that took more than 10 hours. Our plane left San Francisco on Mon., June 19th at 11:25 A.M. and arrived in Tokyo on Tues., June 20th at about 4:00. We lost a day because we flew over the international date line in the Pacific Ocean. I never had a Monday night because my Monday turned into Tuesday early when we crossed over the dateline. I have not spent much time in Japan yet, but I am eager to share what I have learned. By the way, I hope my photography skills will improve as I have more practice with the digital camera. I have been thinking about all of the students and teachers at Schaefer school, especially the wonderful students in my class. I hope all of the students are enjoying their last days in 2nd and 3rd grades. Be sure to check my other entries over the next 2 1/2 weeks at home or at a local public library. Also, please go back to the index page and chose the thoughts box for Day 1. I am not given much room to write comments on this website page, so I have elaborated on the thoughts page. |

I had to send this photo for the many Yankee fans at WOS. This is a teacher/Yankee fan from Idaho. |

Many buildings in Chiba (where Koichi is from) are white concrete with English writing on them. |
