1. Time

-There is a change of duration from 2 hours of last to 1 hours, due to the result of last year evaluation which said 2 hour is too much.

-We think that performance duration should extend to 1.30 hours to include exhibition.

2. Exhibition

-We should try to make PYs pay more attention to exhibition by giving so minutes before the performance starts to showcase exhibition.

-To encourage PYs to focus on the exhibition, PYs should be informed that taking photos during exhibition is prohibited and that photo session will be held after hand.

3. Audience’s Attention

-The fast that there were PYs coming in and out of the hall during the performance and talked between the shows are the problems that need to be solved.

-This can be solved by making the performance more interesting. We should provide seats for PYs, get some one to control them by telling them to keep their voice down, etc.

-The performance should start on time, and the front doors will be closed right after the performance starts. Those who come in late can only enter through the top back door only.

4. Quality of the Performance

-We think that the performance one really good, however it would be better if there is some explanation of the meaning of the performances.

-This can be done by handing out paper containing explanation of performances.

5. Case of Thailand

-Thai contingent had only 15 minutes to perform.

-This is due to a problem of inconsistent information and communication problem between COC and Thai reception Committee.

-All contingent should have their nights on board the ship.

-To give full attention to the performing contingent, there should be no performance of other contingents on the national day of that contingent.

6. Case of Indonesia

-As they are the first contingent to perform on the ship. They were prohibited to set up any presentation in dinning room. However, other contingents were allowed to do so.

-This is a problem of double standard rules.

-We think it is important that all the rules are set by COC before the program starts and all the rules should be informed to PYs before going on board, so that all the rules are applied to all.

7. Presentation

-The next year PYs should be informed to try to prepare as much as they can before going on board, because there will be not much time to prepare on board ship.

8. Sense of Competition

-It’s all about exchanging culture, This should no longer be an issue to the next generation.

9. Dress Code / Attire

-There should be a rule about how to dress in the national day.

-All PYs should ware smart casual outfit at least. No jean or flip-flops is allowed.

10. Suggestion

-We should balance the importance of performance and other activities, e.g. discussion. Do not put too much emphasis on performance solely.

-After the performance of one contingent on their national day, each contingent should present a gift to them as a taken of appreciation.

-We should be better informed of the details of the facilities on board e.g. the exact size of the stage, CD player, etc.

-There should be no discussion in the afternoon of the national day, discussion should be held in the morning instead.

-To encourage PYs to join the national day, we should have a guest book or a photo session by contingents after the performance to monitor the number of the participants.

-If possible, on the day that the sea is really rough, the national day should be postponed.
