Although not in GH, Legend was born and bred by yours truly at my barn in a game called AHC, Absolutely Horse Crazy (also created by yours truly -wink). His dam, SHA Queen of Hearts, was aquired from a girl boarding at my stable but who quit promptly due to personal reasons, and left her prized Arab to me. I showed the gorgeous chestnut on a regular basis until she aquired her Hall of Fame title at twelve years old, when she was retired. Her first foal was a big deal to me, so I chose the best sire I could to mate her with, my very own prized possession, SHA Hidden Legend. He was the first horse I created in the game when I opened it up, and, like Queenie, quickly gained over 5,000 points. When Legend Sr. was retired at fifteen, he was the most famous and highly pointed horse in AHC, with 9,645 points. He was, without a doubt, the perfect match for Queenie. I knew that any child of theirs would posses remarkable talent. Queenie and Legend (Sr.) were bred, and I anxiously awaited the birth of the foal. The perfectly formed chestnut was sadly stillborn. Queenie was bred back to Legend Sr.

AHC then quickly began to fall apart. It had never been a terribly active game, consisting of basically five or six active and dedicated members. But two, who were twins, lost their internet server, and AHC just couldn't function on three members, especially since even I had long ago started playing in GH, and was becoming very dedicated to it. So when Legend was born, I closed the game and shipped him over to GH.

While the first filly was a lovely chestnut, Queenie's second foal was the ideal bay, with a gorgeous topline, dishy head, traditional body, and beautiful gaits from his first step onward. The new Legend was my absolute pride and joy. I cherished his very being.

After a while, when he was a yearling, I began showing Legend in Halter. He wasted no time in boggling my mind, stepping into the show ring with that perfect grace and striking dignity that makes every judge favour him. He then began his inevitable and brilliant career as a halter horse. At three, he began showing in easy classes under saddle in English, and didn't do as well as I knew he was capable. He was quickly converted to Western, and his true colors began to show. His first Western Pleasure class was followed quickly by incredible standings in classes that progressed in difficulty until he was winning in advanced performance classes. I then began more English training, and he has progressed to be a decent English horse. On February 25, 2002, Legend aquired his Hall of Fame title by going from 4,475 points to 6,600 points in the annual Scottsdale Event alone. On March 24, 2002, Legend became the first horse to surpass 10,000 points at only 9 years old.

I started breeding Legend when he was four years old. I bred him once to my prize mare, OA Daughter Warcry, creating my impossibly perfect four year old, OA Warcry's Living Legend, who already has over 1,800 points. I gradually increased the amount of times he was bred each season, and eventully opened him to the public. He now has six foals on the ground, all beautiful productions of their sire. Legend stamps his foals more than any other stallion I have ever seen. Every one of his foals has the same smooth stride, eager personality, traditional body, dishy head, and large, intelligent eyes as their sire.

Although Legend has already surpassed my wildest dreams as a showhorse, a sire, and a stallion in general, my hopes for him continue to rise. And while I will not breed him again for many seasons (so as to preserve his blood), I do continue to have high hopes for the foals he will eventually produce, and hope he will continue to be the amazing showhorse he is for many years to come.
