Claude gets separated from the others after the ship to El gets hit by a tsunami. On the beach he is stranded on, he finds only Leon. After waking Leon, Leon takes a look around and informs Claude that the continent they are on is El. Then Leon becomes terribly distressed about not finding the Lacour Hope and the others, but Claude tells him to not give up hope and walks off to find the others. Leon refuses to follow, saying it is futile. But when Claude really does walk away, Leon has no choice but to follow. On the beach, the pair encounter many monsters. Luckily they weren't attacked since the monsters fought with each other. Then Leon explains that there are so many because they are close to the sorcery globe. They camp out at night and Claude thinks about how he was unable to protect Rena and the others. The next day, they do some more exploring. They find this badly wrecked and abandoned town. At the town, Leon finds an injured bird. He patches its wounds up and takes it with him. On the floor of one of the houses, Claude finds bones of dead people. He immediately runs out as this giant man-eating slug chases after him. Claude finishes it off but others start climbing out of the other houses. They hurry to escape from the town. Leon starts to lose hope again, but Claude doesn't. He tells Leon that he will be strong and keep searching until he sees his friends again. In another part of the beach, the three brothers, (the three who stole Dias' sword) are doing survival. They got stranded here after the tsunami as well. Claude and Leon must have been stranded for a while since the bird's wounds have already started to heal. Claude starts losing hope, but watching Leon try so hard in getting the bird to fly again brings his spirits back up. Back on the road, they encounter an even bigger version of those man-eating slugs. The mother gives birth to those smaller slugs and sends them off to the ocean. But Claude stops them from doing so. The mother gets angry and Claude fights it, one-on-one. Leon tells Claude to stop fighting or he'll be killed before he finds the others, but Claude explains that if he does, the monster's babies will reach other continents. Leon helps him by casting Delay and Claude demolishes it. The little bird heals and flies again. They run into the three brothers who tell them that they've found the Lacour Hope. It's a miracle and they can do nothing but smile in the sunset. Then Leon and Claude hold hands. Cuuuuuuute!
