Marx Indian Warfare Set Game

The set was made by Louis Marx & Co. Inc. 200 Fifth Ave.,
NY 10, NY. Series 2000, No. 4778 and has 48 (space) 2727
stamped between the series and no. Made in the United
States of America. The set has since been dated as made in
1957 and only distributed one year. It also never was sold
thru Marx's biggest retailer: Sears. Thus, there are not
that many sets out there.

The set has an instruction sheet titled, "The Old West
Cavalry and Indian Set". The pieces in the set, show wear
and tear, some items seem to be damaged from use. The box
is not in the best shapes, it has been opened and closed
many times. I have no idea if all the pieces are present
or not. This seems to have been someone's favorite toy.

This set has the following items: box; instructions;
painted tin cabin; 2 gray Teepees; 1 red Teepee; blue
buckboard with yellow wheels; brown buckboard with gray
wheels and 2 red wagon wheels plus cover and seat for
covered wagon and a tailgate for one buckboard. It also
has 3 green trees; 2 green cactuses; 5 beige horses and
1 colt; 1 brown horse and 2 brown harnesses. 4 Rust
colored Indian supplies-skin stretcher travois, spears
with shield and totem pole. 4 silver items-2 skulls and
two that seem to be Indian beaded items. 9 silver soldiers.
9 blue soldiers. 15 yellow Indians. 15 rust Indians. 9 fence
pieces. Totaling 90 pieces, including the box and
instruction sheet.
