Legality of Online Gambling

I am in favor of legalizing online gambling.  My reason to back up my opinion are:

1.  With legal gambling comes the ability to tax the winnings.  If a person is willing to risk their earnings by gambling, then they should be ready to have to pay taxes on their gamblings earnings as well.

2.  Online gambling provides a different format than Casino gambling.  I really like playing poker, especially Texas Hold'em.  There is a difference between playing poker online and playing poker with "live" people.  Poker is really a game of finesse.  Any hand can win, it only matters how the player reacts to his/her hand.  When you are online, there really is no finesse to the game.  There are no bodily tells.  The only tell, is from watching a person play.  Are they a free or a close player.  Do they limp into a lot of hands are do they jump into just a few.

3.  Business that are regulated protect consumers.  Right now, Online gambling is happening, but there is no one overseeing the gambling sites.  Do they really pay the winners all of their winning?  Do they know when a person has gone too far with their gambling?  These are only a couple of regulations that have already been established for the Legal Gambling establishments in the United States and should be applied to Online gambling.
