Odd Window(s)
Do you have an odd window on the small side, just "floating" in the middle of a wall? Don't try to put a window treatment around it -- it will look "stuck-on." Instead, use the window as part of a grouping of other similar shaped objects. Use pictures or a collection of some sort. If you have a country look, several old checkerboards or game boards will help to balance out the odd window. Another remedy is to build a "box" around the window. A much larger box, of course, that includes shelves to hold a collection. Now that tiny window is a part of something interesting and is much better balanced on the wall. - Linda Betz
