A Heimgest has already stated about this interview:
"STATEMENT FROM HEIMGEST DCG-OR REGARDING THE FOLLOWING OLD INTERVIEW IN VOR TRU MAGAZINE
"As explained, the following interview was conducted a long while ago and so some of it may be considered a little out of date. Much of it concerns the mundane or outward state of things at that time and much has altered since then. I would undoubtedly answer some questions differently today. It is also true that some of my answers as presented in the interview, were not what I actually said, and the message or answer I was conveying has not come across accurately. This is often a problem with interviews that are not recorded as such, the notes used to write them up, are often jottings and are interpreted as the interviewer feels they were meant, and this is not always accurate. At times also, whether recorded or not, answers may be misinterpreted or cannot properly convey to others the experienced feeling of the interviewee because it is not possible to convey `experience` to another. However those things, which can be considered as transcendent, are fairly well recorded, and so this interview may be of some interest. I also would like to say that Bob Taylor, who conducted the interview is a man I regard as a friend and is someone I respect for he has done a lot for the cause. There is no doubt that when he left the Asatru Alliance, they lost a very creative and innovative member.

Here you will find an interview with the Director of the Odinic Rite - Heimgest DCG-OR whom resides in Vinland (Canada). This interview has been made available here with both permission from Valgard Murray via James Hjuka Coulter and Heimgest, DCG-OR, directly. A far more in depth interview with Heimgest is available from the Odinic Rite HERE. It is entitled "Interview With A Gothi". It is a transcript of an extensive interview conducted by Irmin (Institute of Research on Northern Mythology and Identity) with Heimgest, leader of the OR. It is an interesting and useful insight into the mind of a true Gothi. This book is HIGHLY recommended!

The Odinic Rite is an organization whose aims are to promote all aspects of Odinism , a modern name for the spiritual beliefs and way of life of the Germanic peoples of pre- Christian Northern Europe.
It is the world's longest running international Odinist organisation and has legal status in the United Kingdom , Australia and various states in the USA . It has chapters in France , Germany , America , Canada , England , Scotland , Wales and Italy and members in many other countries.
The Odinic Rite was founded in 1973 under the name "Committee for the Restoration of the Odinic Rite / Odinist Committee". In 1980 the organisation changed its name to "The Odinic Rite" after it was believed that it had gained enough significant interest in the restoration of the Odinic faith.
The basic unit of the Odinic Rite is the Hearth, a group of adherents who gather to perform ceremonies known as Blóts or Blotar, at which they honor their deities and their ancestors. However, a large proportion of the members are lone practitioners.
Members of the Odinic Rite are encouraged to live their lives according to the " Nine Noble Virtues " which are: Courage, Truth, Honor, Fidelity, Discipline, Hospitality, Industriousness, Self-Reliance, and Perseverance. These were gleaned from various sources including the Poetic Edda (particularly the Hávamál ), the Icelandic Sagas and Germanic folklore they were codified by the Odinic Rite in the 1970's.
The motto or watch-words of the Odinic Rite are "Faith, Folk & Family".
The Odinic Rite has also codified the " Nine Charges " in the 1970's, which, again, are not universal but are accepted by a large proportion of adherents worldwide.
