Hi All: Welcome to Spring 2005!!! After a long winter, we must dust off our hiking boots, tents and sleeping bags and GET MOVING!! I am calling all interested "outdoorsy" persons to the Spring General Meeting on Saturday, April 23rd, 7:00 at my house to discuss activities for spring, summer and into fall. I know people are getting very anxious for anything to start so come with ideas. Hiking, biking, backpacking, weekend camping, canoeing, kayaking - anything goes! If you can't make the meeting, you can e-mail me your ideas so that I can inform the others. 

Last summer, we had some of the Outdoor Enthusiasts from Saint John come up to try out our trails on their bikes - that was lots of fun and we got to know them and their interests - by the way, the trail from Fredericton to Oromocto is to be completed this spring - we will check it out. 

Last fall, we met some of the Moncton members in Fundy to do a weekend hike. I have a weekend hiking "expedition" scheduled for late September in Baxter State Park which I will mention at the meeting. Several people have expressed interest in this trip as we haven't gone to Baxter for a couple of years now and it's always a fun and popular trip, and for the hiking enthusiasts, a real challenge, depending on the hill we pick. So, come on out to the meeting and see what we can plan! Should be an interesting summer.!!
