SEPTEMBER 2000 SCHEDULE
- FRIDAY - SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 22-24
- Hiking/Camping/Canoeing(?)
at Baxter State Park. Another popular annual event. Only 13 people maximum. We will probably try out a new peak this year (we are thinking of North Traveller Mountain). It overlooks a beautiful lake and canoes can be rented for $1.00 an hour. The hiking itself is very strenuous and takes hours. Be prepared! Bring good footwear and changes of clothing for the hike, and bring warm clothing for night. It gets nippy (right Colleen?)! We find that if we stick together as a group and not hop ahead, like some of us are inclined to do, it works out quite well and everyone has a chance then to make it to the top.
