Banquet Time 2001
The end of the year banquet is always a good time. It is a great opportunity to reflect on success and the challenges of the past year removed from the pressures associated with each. The fellowship, trials, patience, endurance, dedication, high/lows, bonding of the group culminated with this event. Reflecting on where they started and realizing what they had accomplsihed, The Reg Regiment certainly made a noticeably significant step forward in their overall program this year. Dr. Poor and Miss Hauck had an oportunity to speak to students and supporters at a time where no other activity was in the back of their mind. The banquet is a time to recognize excellence in several areas in band and color guard. These awards are special to the members who receive them and from those who give them. It is also a time when special recognition can be given to those Seniors who have given of their time for four years in the pursuit of excellence for the program. This year the student officers lighened the program by presenting some really funny awards that covered any topic - As the definition of the award was read, the room was alive with people guessing who the recipient(s) would be. Laughter often erupted when the names were read and everybody was a good sport about this twist. Here are just a few photos from the event.
