Welcome back, class! This will be a quick lesson, as I’m just as eager as you are to get past this first unit. Today we will study Diffindo. Diffindo is a spell that is very helpful if used correctly, but very dangerous if the caster is not careful. Diffindo is used to cut things open. It takes a fair amount of skill to be able to cut accurately, but for today you will not need to. You should all have a strip of cloth on your desks. This will be the only thing that you cut! Do not aim the spell at someone else, as this could result in the loss of clothing or even body parts so DON’T YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT IT MALFOY! Get your wand away from Hermione’s hair! Now, if any of you are not mature enough to handle this, then you will receive a zero for this assignment and will spend the rest of the period out in the hall. You may begin. . .
