All about Jessica | Feelings about the Boys |
First name: Jessica |
When did you become a fan?: It had to be around early '98. It feels like I've been a fan my whole life though! |
Age/Birthdate: 19 |
Favorite Boy(s)?: It's so hard to pick a favorite! Brian was my favorite BSB from the start, and he still is! I love all my boys, but Brian has really touched my heart over the years. Like I've said, I love and respect Alex, Kev, Nick, and D all the way, but Rok is the only one who has never "broken my heart." He's his own man, and I like that about him. |
Martial Status: Single |
What made you a Fan?: I love their music. No other album, but BSB's, can I listen to all the way through. I loved song after song of their's, and when I saw their personalities, I knew I liked them. But when I saw them in concert, I fell in love with them, they knocked my socks off! That's what made me a fan for life. |
Height: 5'9" |
Favorite Album?: Millennium, even though I adore Black and Blue cause I listen to it constantly my intially reaction after hearing both albums was different. With Millennium, I remember feeling overwhelmed because it was perfect, but with B&B there was just a couple discrepencies that overwhelmed me in a "bad" way. Some of the songs off B&B however totally blew Millennium out of the water (i.e. The Answer To Our Life, Time, and What Makes You Different to name a few) |
Nicknames: Jessi, Jess |
Favorite Song from BSB?: My sentimental favorite song has always been As Long As You Love Me (as you can tell from my e-mail address), but Shape Of My Heart is also my favorite for another special reason. |
City/State/Country: Strongsville, OH USA |
How many BSB Concerts and when & where?: I wish I could go to more, but I have been to four of their amazing concerts. July 22, 1998 (my hometown of Cleveland), Oct. 4, 1999 (Columbus), March 9, 2000 (CLEVELAND!), Feb. 8, 2001 (Pittsburgh), and I'll see them in PA one more time on June 26, 2001! |
Hobbies: ) I'm a competitive ice skater (training for the OIympics), listening to music (BSB preferably!), playing sports, goofing off, playing the flute, lifeguarding, aerobics, teaching swim lessons, and being crazy! |
Favorite Backstreet memory: I'm gonna start crying again, here I go. It was the most unbelievable experience of my life. I got to "tell" all the boys Thank You, and I got to "talk" to Brian and directly thank him!!! It was Feb. 8, 2001 in Pittsburgh, PA. I'm from Cleveland (the boys didn't come here this year :( !!!) so me and my mom took a Greyhound to Pittsburgh. I made a sign that read "THANK U BSB because I need to thank them for everything they have done for my life, and continue to do (words just can't express). I thought that my seats were in the upper deck, but I wanted them to be able to read the sign and be thanked, so I made it white letters on a black background (praying they would be able to see it) When we walked in the arena, my seats were practically on stage, I couldn't believe it. I burst out into tears because I am the biggest BSB fanatic, and I never thought I'd actually get to see my favorite people in the world up close. Well, during the concer! t I held up my sign proudly because I've waited so long to tell them thank you. I never thought they'd be able to see me, but they did and each acknowledged my sign in a very special, surreal way but Brian CAME OVER AND "TALKED TO ME" FROM THE STAGE!!! It was during Shape Of My Heart (hence, why it has become one of my 2 fav BSB songs) This is the only way I can describe the moment of my life He was a single star in the night. It was me and him, him and me, and no one else around. Like the first star you see tonight, it was just the two of us. Sounds of song were far off, all was quiet like a movie. His lips read my sign in slow motion, and my dream was unfolding right before me. I can not remember the song my other boys were singing all I remember is it was just me and him, him and me. I've waited so long to tell them thank you, and as his lips moved I did just that. He bowed down a bit as if to thank me. I thanked him right back and told him I love you. O! f all the people in the room he was talking to and thanking me. He motioned that he needed to get back, but still he stayed with me. It was my moment, my moment in time, which played out like a dream. I made a conncection with the sweetest man. It was through his eyes that I could really see. As he walked away he blew kisses and waved. It was my moment in time, me and him, him and me. Not only is this my fav BSB memory, it's my all time favorite memory. I think about this moment and least a couple times a day, and it brings tears to my eyes, along with the biggest smile you have ever seen in your entire life! |
Pets: Do three little sisters count?! |
What about the boys, made you a Fan?: Their music first and foremost. Their voices are unbelievably, extraordinarily sweet! I love how they always sing live, and they always sound just as good if not better than their cd's now that's hard to come by. After their music drew me in, it was their charismatic, effervescent personalities that caught my eye (I always love the goofballs!) Plus, they are good men with good hearts. They respect women (for the most part *cough, cough* Rolling Stone) and they've been able to help me through some tough times. That has made me a fan, and supporter for life! |
Favorite color(s): Purple (My politically correct answer would be Black and Blue though :) !) |
Have you met any of the Backstreet Boys, family members of the BSB, or the Band of the BSB? (please explain): ) I "meet" them at their Feb. 8, 2001 show in Pittsburgh when they saw my THANK U BSB sign (and when Brian "talked" to me and I got to thank him directly). Each gave me a special concert in their own way, but Brian made my night complete! BSB if you are out there, thank you for everything!!! |
