Scripture mingled with man's theory
Scriptures are words from GOD. Man's theories are words from man who want to be GOD himself (i.e. master of all) scriptures tell you how to follow God's instruction humbly, man's theories tell you how to follow your own wisdom deliberately. A scripture if mingled with man's theory will turn a man into having a reverant exterior and a self-pride interior.
Example of mingled scriptures
-false linking
The easiest job God has to do is to keep you and me humble. God's biggest job is to get us to believe that we are somebody and that we really can do something.... ..If your pride is rooted in your divine call, your humility is assured.
The fact is: It is easy for God to make one believe that he can do great thing or become rich, but it is hard to make one humble humself!
-false defination
We now have a new definition of the atonement! If the deepest curse of sin is what it does to our self-esteem, then the atoning power of the Cross is what it does to redeem our discarded self-worth. (Self_Esteem, p. 101)<
The fact is:Sin is due to one's selfish and greed, atoning power of the Cross is to discard our selfishness and greed to become humble
-false declaration
I may not deserve it [salvation] but I am worth it so don't say that I am unworthy. (Self-Esteem, p. 74)
The fact is: IF you do not deserve it, you are not worth, if you can have it, it is not because of you but God's grace. Recognition of unworthiness is the cause of repentance and humble,if one say he is worth, that means he is still blind and a sinner.
-false reasoning false conclusion
The most serious sin is the one that causes me to say, 'I am unworthy. I may have no claim to divine sonship if you examine me at my worst. For once a person believes he is an 'unworthy sinner,'
it is doubtful if he can really honestly accept the saving grace God offers in Jesus Christ. (Self-Esteem, p. 98) .
The fact is: If only a man recognize that he is really sick, he will not seek for medication. How can a sick patient agree to have medication if he believe that he is healthy and it is the sin of the doctor to tell him that he is sick . Do you think who will honestly receive medication, a patient who recognizes he is sick or a patient believes he is healthy.

Mingled scriptures always make use of extreme ends to confuse others
1.To mix up a humble person with a psychiatric depressed patient so that self-esteemed(pride) become normal, but in fact not the cases:
To humble a person before GOD is to let him recognize the real status of himself, if he recognize himself he will submit himself to the guidiance of GOD and finally be saved.
To humble oneself will turn one to be God-esteemed which is the root of eternal progression
To Esteem oneself without a real picture of oneself will only turn one to pride
2.God want us to recognize our real situation, not go to extreme:
A psychiatric humble will destine himself to damnation (which should only be judged by GOD), a healthy humble will seek for a grace from GOD.
A psychiatric self-esteemed will claim himself worthy no matter what he actually is, he seek no repentance because he doesn't think he should.
A healthy follower will not go two extreme but go in between.
Mingled scriptures always does the part of rationalize false and irrationize truth to satisfy the pride of human
Example:[Are we to believe that self-denial means the denial of personal pleasure, desire, fulfillment, prosperity? For too long religious leaders have suggested this with tragic results... Such attitudes are dangerous distortions and destructive mis- interpretations of scattered Bible verses grossly misread by negative-thinking Bible readers who project their own negative self-image onto the pages of Holy Scripture.... By self-denial Christ does not mean the rejection of that positive emotion we call self-esteem - the joy of eperiencing my self-worth.... (Self-Esteem, p.113-15)]
The fact is: Bible reading is not a projection of one's feeling but a learning under the guidiance of Holy Ghost who will purify our thought. The joy built upon ego self-worth is probably a sin, God tells us to build our joy upon faith on God not our pride. Self-denial does not mean denial of pleasure and good things but denial of ego desires i.e. loving money, loving power that if above loving God(God is truth), man will sin against God.
