Dr Heaney-Hunter received her Ph.D from Fordham University in 1988, and currently serves as Associate Professor of Theology at St. John's University, NY, where she teaches the theology of Christian marriage to both undergraduate and graduate students. She has served as an advisor to the National Conference of Catholic Bishops' Committee on Family, Laity, Women & Youth and the Sacramental Practices Committee of the Priests' Senate of the Diocese of Rockville Centre.
