Some have been made before Sydney was awarded the 2000 Games on 23 September 1993 at the 101st IOC Session in Monte Carlo and are considered as BID pins, the rest were part of "Authentics Olympic Collection" are official Sydney 2000 SOUVENIRS pins using the bid logo and were manufactured after Sydney won the 2000 games. They were made by an Australian Company called ATS "Australian Travellers Souvenirs" and almost none of them has backstamp. Sydney 2000 Black Sq. Bid Pin The Black and the White version of this series were made before 23rd September 1993 and after that date they manufactured other colors as well. Sydney 2000 White Sq.
