Black Moon - Anime
Meanwhile, Wiseman's plans continued. He himself captured Chibi-usa, and brainwashed her. She transformed into an older, adult being, and called herself Black Lady. The sign on the Black Moon appeared on her forehead, an upside down black crescent. Wiseman's creation, she only served him and teleported to the Earth of the past with Dimando to plant a final Dark Crystal that would funnel energy into the Earth and and allow the Dark Gate to open, destroying Tokyo, and the Crystal Tokyo of the future.
Sailor Pluto felt the disturbance as Dimando and Black Lady traveled back in time. She urged the senshi to return at once, warning them there was something horribly wrong with Chibi-usa. They returned, and were greeted by Black Lady. They didn't recognize her as Chibi-usa until Luna P, Chibi-usa's favorite toy, honed in on Black Lady and greeted her. Black Lady laughed at the senshi's attempts to restore her identity, and attacked them with various Luna P items. Beaten, the senshi fell back and Black Lady continued with her plans.
Safiel, at last alone with the Wiseman, spied on him and heard him talking about the Death Phantom, killing Dimando, and destroying the Earth. Equipped at last with proof, Safiel quickly went to the Dark Crystal and took it's energy card so it could no longer grow or put off energy. But Wiseman caught him. He threw a powerful blow at Safiel, but thinking quickly (as always), Safiel teleported to the Earth of the past to find his brother, and finally convince him of Wiseman's treachery.
Safiel arrived in the past terribly wounded. Hardly able to walk, he wandered aimlessly until he collapsed by a tree. Petz, the oldest Phantom sister, now living healed on Earth, spotted Safiel from a distance. As he lay by the tree, Safiel smelled the dirt and air of the Earth. Ah, the sweet scent of grass...
He fell unconscious as he dreamed of his youth on Nemesis, of Dimando promising that someday he would recapture Earth and they would live there in peace, with trees and waterfalls. He remembered Wiseman, always taking his brother away from him. "My oniisan...oniisan...ONIISAN!!!!" ["onii-san" is Japanese for "brother". It's where the name of this site came from.]
Safiel awoke with a start. He was bandaged and in Petz's apartment. She looked at him anxiously. They discussed Petz's situation, how they had betrayed the clan by living on Earth. She said living on Earth in peace was worth whatever price she must pay. Safiel told her he was here because he had something important to tell Dimando. As if he had suddenly remembered, he tried to get out of bed and leave, to find his brother. Petz tried to stop him, and told him she didn't know what she would do if he died. The look in her eyes told Safiel that she loved him. But he had to go anyway. He gave Petz his jacket, promising to get it when he returned.
Petz's sisters, anxious, called the senshi and urged them to protect Safiel.
Safiel was intercepted by the Black Lady. She was about to kill him when the senshi showed up. They gave her a speech, and tried to bring her back to her true identity once more, but Black Lady only laughed at them and trapped them in an energy sphere. Safiel, protected by the senshi until then, spotted Dimando and ran to him. He began to tell him of Wiseman's deceit, and his true identity as the Death Phantom, but before he got the whole story out, Wiseman appeared.
Ignoring Dimando's pleas to stop, he shot a blast of energy at Safiel, a killing blow. Black Lady, distracted by all this, had let down her barrier on the senshi. They rushed forward to catch Safiel. As he lay dying, a bandage slipped from his forehead. It was bare and clean - the symbol of the Black Moon clan was gone. Petz had healed Safiel. Wiseman took the energy card from Safiel and disappeared with Black Lady to replace it. Dimando, grief striken, walked toward his brother. Tenderly, he took his brother's body and disappered into the fog.
At Petz's apartment, Safiel's jacket fell from hanger. She knew he was gone.
"Safiel will always live inside me - with that last smile he gave me."
Back on Nemesis, Dimando was furious. He demanded to know why Wiseman had directly disobeyed his orders. Wiseman gave him a cool look and told him Safiel was a traitor, and traitors deserve death. "My brother would never betray me," he shouted heatedly. Wiseman told him not to let anything get in his way of this mission. Destroying Earth was all that mattered, and if Dimando couldn't focus on that, the mission was lost. Dimando let Safiel's death go for the time being, but promised to deal with Wiseman after the mission was complete. Wiseman glared at him coolly has he walked away. "If you should live so long, little prince..."
The sailor senshi fell back to regroup as Tuxedo Kamen investigated the Dark Crystal. Sailor Moon could only think of Chibi-usa, and how painful it was to be without her. But soon, they were out of time. The senshi used Sailor Planet Power to enter the Dark Crystal. Mercury pulled out her data computer and began to analyze it, while Sailor Moon wandered about curiously. Suddenly, a hole opened in the ground and Sailor Moon tumbled into the unknown. It vanished before the senshi could do anything. Mercury typed furiously to locate her.
Sailor Moon was thrown into a dark room, where a deep, icy voice met her. That could only be the voice of the White Prince Dimando. He once again opened his hypnotic eye, and drew Sailor Moon close to him. Sailor Moon resisted, keeping her thoughts on Mamoru and Chibi-usa. But her power was fading. She dropped to her knees. "A kiss of loyalty to Prince Dimando..." she recited lifelessly. She lowered her head to kiss the Prince's pale hand. But visions of her friends flitted past her mind. Her eyes cleared. "NO!"
Dimando was shocked she could resist his hypnotic powers. She explained to him that love could not be taken by force, not real love. Dimando said they should destroy love, just like Earth needed to be destroyed. Sailor Moon retorted "Do you think nothing of hate? Couldn't you live peacefully on the Earth with the rest of the humans?" Dimando said the Earth would not welcome the Black Moon. Sailor Moon pointed out that the four Ayakashi sisters lived happily on Earth with everyone else.
Dimando stroked his chin in thought. The plan was not originally intended to destroy Earth, only to return and live there. Destruction had not come into play until...the Wiseman. Could Safiel have been right? Is that was he was trying to tell him? He stepped forward. "Sailor Moon, -"
Suddenly, Wiseman appeared! He scolded the Prince for not killing Sailor Moon already. Dimando looked at him defiently, and Wiseman realized what had happened. "I have no use for an idiot who listens to a woman's babble!" [^ ^, only the in Japanese. DiC changed this into an "earthling's talk"].
"Ha! You think you can kill me? Catch me, the White Prince of the Black Moon, if you can!" [whee! That's my favorite Dimando line! He r0x0rs!]
A battle of light and dark magics had begun. They were evenly matched, but Dimando seemed to be pulling ahead. Suddenly, Wiseman had a change in tactics and attacked Sailor Moon. Not having enough time to react, she could only stand there as a blast of dark energy headed for her [friken moron! move or something! ugh!]. Dimando, grateful to Sailor Moon for helping him realize the truth about his clan, jumped in front of the blast at the last second. He was thrown back [and Sailor Moon stood there like a moron, looking at him]. Wiseman chuckled.
"Don't underestimate me...!!!!"
With his last bit of strength, Prince Dimando threw a mighty blast of white energy at the Wiseman. The dark cloak was thrown back, revealing only nothingness. The cloak fluttered to the ground, and the crystal ball lowered.
