This page is intended as a central site for my pages on the Feeneyite heresy and schism, and my controversies with some Feeneyites.
I first was drawn into this controversy by the efforts of a Phillip McCabe to subtly subvert me into the Feeneyite heresy. McCabe began by trying to get me to make the Feeneyite 'Abjuration of Errors' without divulging the fact that he was a Feeneyite. Later, I came to understand this fact and so took a stern line refusing to consider any such act. Then McCabe called in his big gun - Ibranyi.
Unfortunately, the original correspondence with McCabe is now largely lost, though the latter correspondence with Ibranyi is still there.
The Feeneyite heresy is not too original nor too important in Church history. Nevertheless, it is important, to an extent today, because the Feeneyites have jumped on to the Catholic Resistance bandwagon and pass themselves off as one of us. Apparently, they have had some success in this, particularly in the land of their origin - the USA.
The first I knew of this was when, during a controversy with J. F. Loughnan, an apologist for the Antichurch, he alleged that Brother Michael Dimond was a Feeneyite. I did not pay much attention to that because Dimond's work did not form a part of my ideological formation, and also because I hardly care to credit the allegations of one who has betrayed the Catholic faith himself!
