To,
Richard Ibranyi,
Thanks for your letter.
It is so very rare that I come across such direct attempts at selling me unadulterated bullshit, that I am thoroughly astonished.
Nevertheless, I shall attempt a reply, not that I believe that it will do any good at all; the lot of you Feeneyites being contumacious in your heresy. As the proverb goes, "You can take the horse to the water, but you can't make the horse drink," or again as my Lord teaches me, do not cast bread before dogs nor pearls before swines, lest they turn around and trample you underfoot.
For starters;
1. I do not hate Feeney. He is not a person who has yet figured on my mental landscape at all. Besides I do not hate people, keeping in light the commandment against hatred of any man whatsoever, even the most vile and evil he be.
2. You are not a Catholic and Christian and have no right whatsoever to address me as one.
3. Whatever the situations of the departed members of my family, proximate or extended, and of whatever religious persuasion, conforming to the teachings of the Church, I do not pretend to know exactly where they are, whether in heaven, purgatory or hell. And whichever of their final destinations, I am certain that I cannot in the least change it or their conditions therein.
Coming to the rest, I will say this: Vile, foul and evil man, son of perdition, you are not, EMPHASIZE, NOT, GOD, AND DONT PRETEND TO BE! You are no one to say that anyone whatsoever, is absolutely and certainly in Hell, when the Church itself refuses to say so!
And your answers:
1. I witness to my faith, which is the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Faith, that, a man who is outwardly in a false sect, if he be honestly and sincerely seeking God, and is in invincible ignorance that Christ, His Church and Religion is the only prescribed way and means of salvation, he shall not perish but shall be saved, his lack of a physical water baptism supplied by his desire.
The times when the Church has taught this are so many that I cannot begin to number them; but this, Baptism, from the Catholic Encyclopedia, 1907-1911, written long before the Feeneyite controversy began, will sufice.
2. Ditto as above.
7. Why and for what Feeney was excommunicated?
For heresy and for disobedience unto schism.
A man who began to teach heresy was cited to the Authorities, was summoned to be examined, refused the summons, (in itself a most grievous crime, to refuse the summons of the Holy Roman Church for the examination of one's beliefs and orthodoxy,) and was for all these crimes, excommunicated. Then this monster and his dupes goes about blathering that he has been punished only for disobedience and not for doctrinal unorthodoxy.
I ask you, is the devil devious? His sons are also so!
You Feeneyites are not of us. You father Feeney has been cast out from the Church for the same reason that your real and final spiritual father, Beelzebub, has been cast out from Heaven, and you are now no longer with us or part of us. Begone with you and your foul lies, oh ye abominable ones!
In the Sacred Heart of my Lord Jesus Christ, the Pancrator and Victor and in the Immaculate Heart of my Lady Mary the Nikopoia, and in the passive infallibility invested in me by Holy Mother Church, I pronounce you anathema! anathema! anathema!
