Train #1, "The National Limited" ran from Baltimore to St. Louis with sleepers from Baltimore to St. Louis(14 roomettes, 4 double bedrooms), Baltimore to St. Louis, Fort Worth(14 roomettes, 4 double bedrooms)--in M.P.RR train #1 west of St. Louis, Baltimore to Cincinnati(16 duplex roomettes, 4 double bedrooms), Parkersburg to Washington(10 roomettes, 5 double bedrooms), lounge car(buffet)from Washington to St. Louis(2 double bedrooms, 1 compartment, 1 drawing room), slumbercoach from Baltimore to St. Louis(24 single rooms, 8 double rooms)--via M.P.RR train #21 west of St. Louis, dining car betwen Baltimore and St. Louis, coach lounge car(buffet) from Baltimore to St. Louis, coaches(lounge rooms) from Baltimore to St. Louis.

Train #5,"The Capitol Limited" ran from Baltimore to Chicago with sleepers from Baltimore to Chicago(10 roomettres, 5 double bedrooms), Washington to Chicago(16 duplex roomettes, 4 double bedrooms), Washington to Chicago(10 roomettes, 6 double bedrooms), lounge car(buffet) from Washington to Chicago(5 double bedrooms), strata dome car from Washington to Chicago(5 roomettes, 1 single bedroom, 3 drawing rooms), dining car from Washington to Chicago. NO COACHES. Stewardess-Nurse from Washington to Chicago.

Train #7, "The Shenandoah" ran from Baltimore to Chicago with sleepers from Baltimore to Chicago(16 duplex roomettes, 4 double bedrooms), Washington to Chicago(10 roomettes, 5 double bedrooms)--westbound on even dates, eastbound on odd dates except the 31st., Washington to Pittsburg(10 roomettes, 6 double bedrooms)--except Saturday, Chicago to Pittsburg(10 roomettes, 6 double bedrooms)--except Saturday, Strata Dome car from Washington to Chicago(5 roomettes, 1 single bedroom, 3 drawing rooms)--on odd dates except the 31st westbound, and on even dates eastbound, dining-lounge car from Pittsburg to Chicago westbound and Akron to Washington eastbound, coach-lounge car from Baltimore to Chicago, coaches between Baltimore to Chicago.

Train #9, "Washington-Chicago Express", ran from Washignton to Chicago with sleeping cars from Washington to Chicago(16 duplex roomettes, 4 double bedrooms), Pittsburg to Chicago(10 roomettes, 6 double bedrooms)--except Saturday, Pittsburg to Washington(10 roomettes, 6 double bedrooms)--except Saturday, dining-lounge car from Washington to Chicago westbound and Chicago to Pittsburg eastbound, coach from Washington to Chicago.

Train #11, "Metropolitan Special" ran from Baltimore and Cincinnati to St. Louis with a sleeping car from Cincinnati to St. Louis(14 roomettes, 4 double bedrooms), parlor-dining car from Baltimore to Cincinnati, coaches from Baltimore and St. Louis and Cincinnati to St. Louis(lunch counter and lounge rooms).

Train #17, "Cleveland Night Express" ran from Washington to Cleveland with sleeping cars from Washignton to Cleveland(10 roomettes, 6 double bedrooms), Washington to Parkersburg(10 roomettes, 5 double bedrooms)--in train #23 at Cumberland, lounge car(snack bar) from Washington to Cleveland--light breakfast served into Cleveland westbound and into Washington eastbound, coach from Washington to Cleveland.

Train #19, "The Ambassador" ran from Baltimore to Detroit with sleeping cars from Baltimore to Detroit(10 roomettes, 6 double bedrooms), Washington to Detroit(14 roomettes, 4 double bedrooms)--except Saturday, lounge car(buffet) from Baltimore to Detroit(5 double bedrooms), dining car from Baltimore to Detroit, coach-lounge car from Baltimore to Detoit, coach from Baltimore to Detroit.

Train #21, "Daylight Speedliner" (an RDC train) ran from Baltimore to Pittsburg with a refreshment diner from Baltimore to Pittsburg, coach from Baltimore to Pittsburg.

Train #23, "The West Virginian" ran from Washington to Cincinnati with a sleeper from Washington to Parkersburg(10 roomettes, 5 double bedrooms)--in train #17 from Cumberlasnd, coach from Cumberland to Cincinnati.

Train #25, "The Columbian" ran from Baltimore to Chicago with a slumbercoach from Baltimore to Chicago(24 single rooms, 8 double rooms), strata dome lounge car from Washington to Chicago, dining car from Washington to Chicago, coach-lounge from Washington to Chicago(buffet), coaches from Baltimore to Chicago, Washington to Chicago. Stewardess-Nurse between Washington and Chicago.

Train #53, "The Cincinnatian" ran from Detroit to Cincinnati with a fiesta car from Detroit to Cincinnati, lounge-diner from Detroit to Cincinnati, coaches from Detroit to Cincinnati.

Train #57, "Night Express" ran from Detroit to Cincinnati with sleepers on to New Orleans(6 sections, 6 roomettes, 4 double bedrooms)--in L&N train #98 south of Cincinnati, Detroit to Cincinnati(14 roomettes, 4 double bedrooms)--except Saturday, coaches from Detroit to Cincinnati{the webmaster rode the northbound section of this train many times. During the late 1960s' the train seperated while running around 55MPH and went into emergency. No one was hurt except a few were trown to the floor.}
