Bridges Parr, the son of Thomas and Mary Parr, was born between 1761 and 1770, probably in the Carolinas. He died about 1839 in Butts County, Georgia, where he had moved at least by 1828 when he first appears in Tax records in Captain Thaxton's District. Bridges married Penelope Howze, who was born about 1775 in Lancaster County, South Carolina the daughter of James and Mildred Morris Howze. The children of Bridges and Penelope are:

Mary Frances Parr, the daughter of Bridges and Penny Parr, Jr., was born about 1836 in either Butts or Meriwether County, Georgia, she married 1st ?? Jones and we have no information about this marriage, she then married on 18 December 1854 in Chambers County, Alabama, William Wade Griffith, born abt 1830 in South Carolina. Their children are:

Bridges Parr, III, the son of Bridges and Penny Parr, Jr., was born about 1839 in Meriwether County, Georgia and died March 1870 in Hood County, Texas. Bridges appears in the 1870 mortality schedule of Hood County. It was noted that "Bridge Pear, a white male of Hood County, Texas, age 31 was murdered in March", his daughter Roxie Ann told that he was killed about two months before she was born in a fence dispute by his cousin. He married 1st Rachel M. Royster,the daughter of James W. and Mary Royster on 28 February 1858 in Chambers County, Alabama and 2nd. Sarah Jane McCoy Williamson abt 1868 in Erath County, Texas. Sarah Jane and her first husband ?? Williamson had a son named George Washington "Bud or Wash" Williamson, who later married his step sister Fannie Edwards who was the daughter of his mother's 3rd husband ?? Edwards. Bridges Parr, III enlisted in Company I, 14th Regiment of Alabama Infantry, 29 Jul 1861 at Lineville, Talledega County, Alabama, with the rank of private.
