She leaned on the wall. I can't believe it, she thought incredulously. They--they chose each other. It can't be...

But the evidence was behind the wall. She had heard it through the keyhole, had felt the tenseness...had watched the joyful reunion.

A feeling of disgust welled up inside her. "They can't--what'll happen to Dad? And Dr. Quest? And Hadji's mom?" she whispered, walking dazedly up to her room.

She certainly did NOT approve. But...

She closed the door to her room and threw herself to her bed.

Leave them alone, her conscience told her.

"Leave them alone," she repeated dumbly. Of course she'd leave them alone. She loves them as her brothers...if they wanted to be together, so be it. So what if she didn't approve?

What was going to be a problem now was keeping it from their parents.
