ARIA DEL LEVITA
Praise ye the Lord for all his mercies past, whose truth, whose justice will for ever last.	Alabad al Señor por sus misericordias pasadas, cuya verdad y justicia es para siempre.

CORO DE LOS SACERDOTES
With pious heart, and holy tongue, resound your Maker's name, till distant nations catch the song, and glow with holy flame.	Con piadoso corazón, y lengua santa, haced resonar el nombre de vuestro Hacedor, hasta que las naciones lejanas capten el son y resplandezcan con el fuego sagrado

ARIOSO DE SALOMÓN
Almighty Pow'r, who rul'st the earth and skies, and bade gay order from confusion rise; whose gracious hand reliev'd Thy slave distress'd with splendour cloath'd me, and with knowledge bless'd: Thy finish'd Temple with Thy presence grace, and shed Thy heav'nly glories o'er the place.	Todopoderoso, que gobiernas los cielos y la tierra, y ordenas que de la confusión surga el orden sereno; cuya mano llena de gracia alivia a Tu esclavo en aflicción, me has vestido con esplendor, y me bendices con sabiduría: Consagra con Tu presencia, Tu templo terminado y derrama Tu gloria celestial sobre este lugar.

RECITATIVO DE ZADOK
Imperial Solomon, thy pray'rs are heard. See, from the op'ning skies descending flames involve the sacrifice; and lo! within the sacred dome that gleamy light, profusely bright, declares the Lord of Hosts is come	Imperial Salomón, tus oraciones han sido escuchadas. Observa, que desde los cielos abiertos descienden llamas que envuelven el sacrificio; ¡Y he aquí! dentro de la boveda sagrada, que alumbra reluciente, que brilla profusamente, declara que el Señor de los Ejércitos ha llegado.

ARIA DE ZADOK
Sacred rapture cheer my breast, rushing tides of hallow'd zeal, joys too fierce to be express'd, in this swelling heart I feel. Warm enthusiastic fires in my panting bossom roll, hope of bliss, that ne'er expires, dawns upon my ravish'd soul.	En éxtasis sagrado mi pecho se enaltece, con torrentes impetuosos de celo santo; siento, en este corazón enchido, un gozo tan fuerte para ser expresado. Un fuego ardiente de entusiasmo, corre en mi jadeante pecho; la esperanza de bendición que jamás expira, se revela en mi alma extasiada.

CORO DE ISRAELITAS
Throughout the land Jehovah's praise record, for full of pow'r and mercy is the Lord.	A través de toda la tierra proclamad alabanza a Jehová, porque el Señor está lleno de poder y misericordia.

RECITATIVO DE SALOMÓN
Bless'd be the Lord, who look'd with gracious eyes upon His vassals' humble sacrifice, and has with an approving smile my work o'erpaid, and grac'd the pile.	Bendito sea el Señor, que vio con ojos de gracia el humilde sacrificio de Su vasallo, y ha aprobado con alegría retribuyendo en exceso mi labor y ha honrado este edificio.

What though I trace each herb and flow'r that drink the morning dew, Did I not own Jehovah's pow'r How vain were all I knew! Say, what's the rest but empty boast, the pedant's idle claim, who, having all the substance lost, attempts to grasp a name?	Aunque yo conozca cada hierba y cada flor, que beben el rocío de la mañana, y no reconozco el poder de Jehová: ¡cuán vano sería todo lo que sé! Decir que lo demás es sólo vanidad, la pretención futil del pedante, que habiendo perdido toda sustancia, trata de alcanzar prestigio.

And see my Queen, my wedded love, You soon my tenderness shall prove; a palace shall erect its head, of cedar built, with gold bespread; methinks the work is now begun, the axe resounds on Lebanon, and see, bedeck'd with canvas wings, the dancing vessel lightly springs, while Ophir's mines, well pleas'd, disclose the wealth that in their entrails glows.	Y ved a mi Reina, mi esposa amada. Pronto probarás mi ternura; un palacio elevará su cabeza, de cedro construido, con oro adornado; me parece que el trabajo está ya terminado, el hacha resuena en el Líbano y he aquí, adornado con velas de lona aparece el barco que se mece ligeramente mientras que las minas de Ofir, con agrado, descubren la riqueza que en sus entrañas resplandecen.

ARIA DE LA REINA
Bless'd the day when first my eyes saw the wisest of the wise! bless'd the day when I was led to ascend the nuptial bed! But completely bless'd the day on my bossom as he lay, when he call'd my charms divine, vowing to be only mine.	¡Bendito el día, cuando por primera vez mis ojos vieron al sabio de los sabios! ¡Bendito el día cuando fui conducida para ascender al lecho nupcial! Pero bendito entre todos sea el día cuando sobre mi pecho, mis divinos encantos le hicieron proclamar y prometer que es sólo mío.

(Solomon) Thou fair inhabitant of Nile, rejoice thy lover with a smile! (Queen) Oh monarch, with each virtue bless'd, the brightest satr that gilds the east: No joy I know beneath the sun	(Salomón) Tú, hermosa hija del Nilo regocija a tu amado con una sonrisa (La Reina) ¡Oh, monarca, bendito con toda virtud, la estrella más brillante que luce en el Oriente! No conozco otra alegría bajo el sol, que la que encuentro en Salomón. Contigo, cuán rápido vuela la noche en invierno, y cuán corta es la duración de la luz en verano.

DÚO DE LA REINA Y SALOMÓN
(Queen) Welcome as the dawn of day to the pilgrim on his way, whom the darkness caus'd to stray, is my lovely king to me. (Solomon) Myrtle grove, or rosy shade, breathing odours through the glade to refresh the village maid, yields in sweets, my queen, to thee.	(La Reina) Mi amado rey, es para mí como el amanecer; bienvenido para el peregrino, que por la oscuridad se había extraviado de su camino. (Salomón) La arbolada de mirtos o el ramillete de rosas, exhalan aromas por la pradera para refrescar a la doncella de la aldea, y producen dulzuras para ti, mi Reina.

My blooming fair, come, come away my love admits of no delay	Ven, ven, mi belleza en flor, mi amor no puede esperar más.

ARIA DE SALOMÓN
Haste, haste to the cedar grove, where fragrant spices bloom, and am'rous turtles love, beneath the pleasing gloom, While tinkling down the hill, avoiding hateful day, the little murm'ring rill in whispers glides away.	Apresúrate a la arboleada de cedros, donde florecen las fragantes especias y se aman las tórtolas amorosas, bajo la deliciosa oscuridad. Mientras que tintineando a los pies del monte, evitando la sombra del día, el pequeño ruiseñor murmura susurros al planear.

RECITATIVO DE LA REINA
When thou art absent from my sight, the court I shun, and loathe the light.	Cuando estás ausente de mi vista evito la corte, y aborrezco la luz.

ARIA DE LA REINA
With thee th'unshelter'd moor I'd tread, nor once of fate complain, though burning suns flash'd round my head, and cleav'd the barren plain. Thy lovely form alone I prize 'tis thou that canst impart continual pleasure to my eyes, and gladness to my heart.	Contigo, atravesaría el páramo desprotegido y surcaría la tierra estéril, ni siquiera una vez me quejaría de mi destino, aunque destellen en mi cabeza soles abrazadores. Sólo aprecio tu gracia amorosa, aquella que puedes ofrecer; el placer continuo a mis ojos y la alegría a mi corazón.

May no rash intruder disturb their soft hours; to form fragrant pillows, arise, oh ye flow'rs! Ye zephirs, soft-breathing, their slumbers prolong, While nightingales lull them to sleep with their song.	Que no pueda el imprudente intruso perturbar sus horas de amor. Alzaos vosotras, oh flores, para formar almohadas fragantes. Vosotros, céfiros de suave soplido, prolonguen sus sueños mientras los ruiseñores les arrullen con su canción.
