Date: Monday
Dear Dan:
First off, I was re-reading the email I sent you last night and it was rude. So I wanted to apologize for that. (It seems like I keep writing things I have to apologize for; maybe sometime I'll get the hint, huh?)
Secondly...I hadn't even thought about the chair and fridge,
actually. It was kind of odd because Mom wrote me an e-mail telling me to get all that back from you and then I saw the subject line of your e-mail was "Your fridge, and the chair". It was a little surreal till I read your e-mail. I don't know what she wrote, but I sure wish she hadn't, whatever it was. I'll have to talk to her about that.
But anyway, getting back to the chair and fridge...Well, quite
honestly, you're using the stuff right now, and goodness knows I
don't need it. I know you guys use the chair a lot, if not the
fridge, and I feel bad just taking it away from you like that (though I do want it back eventually--just making it clear! :)). So it's your call. If you feel uncomfortable using the fridge and chair because they're mine, or if they're a nusance because you don't use them that much and they're just taking up space, I'll gladly take them off your hands. On the other hand, if it would be a hassle for you to move everything around, and if you're using it, keep it till the end of the year. I honestly don't mind. Like I said, I hadn't even thought of it.
I understand you not calling or writing or anything. But you have to admit it's a bit easier to call me up than Stacey or Corey. (Though, by the same argument, it's a lot more uncomfortable for you.)
I know what you mean by saying you don't know how to react. You'll learn in time, I guess. And even if you don't, it's not like we're thrown together constantly anyway.
Say hi to your family for me, and wish them a happy Thanksgiving.
You have a good one, too.
Me
P.S. If you don't want to write back for a long time because you
don't feel like writing me an involved letter, you can still let me know about the fridge and chair deal within the next twenty-four hours by using this simple system: If you want to keep the stuff, put "yes" in the subject. If you don't want to keep it, put "no" and in the text, tell me what you want to do with it. Sound simple? Okay. :) I just want to know soon because if you don't want to keep them, I'd probably end up taking them (well, the fridge, at least; I don't know what will become of the chair) home over break.
