- Trailer pictures
Mainly provided to show a potential trailer configuration to people
outside Ottawa. When *fully loaded* with 4 boards, 5 sails, 4 masts,
4 booms, all clothing for both of us, etc. etc. it comes to a total of
780 pounds !! That should be light enough for just about any car to tow...
Security: the side and rear compartments have hasp locks. When boards
are left on the trailer for an extended period of time, I use a thick kevlar
cable to secure them to the trailer.

Driver's side view of trailer. Room for 4 boards (bottom normally
holds Lucie's GO, but she is done for the year so I replaced it with my
high-wind board). Note the extension at the front of the lower compartment;
needed to add this to accomodate 520cm mast and 9.5/9.8 sail. |
Passenger side view of trailer. In the summer it has two hockey
bags full of clothing (mine and Lucie's boots, gloves, wetsuits, etc.)
another bag with all the rigging accessories (mastbases, extensions, etc.),
a small toolbox and 4 booms. Upgraded the tires to 12" radial car tires
(155 75R12); must softer ride than bias-ply and less rolling resistance,
which I appreciate when I am pulling the trailer by hand to the end of
the pier at Britannia! |

On top of the trailer there is two bars so I can strap on more boards.
There is also bike brackets so that we can put up 2 mountain bikes on top
(insurance against no wind!). |
Finally, this is the rear view showing the full-width and length
compartment that holds 4 masts and 5 sails and 4 masts. |
