                         Tim Field's Curried Meat

  Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method

  10               oz.  beef -- veal, or other meat cut into 1/2 " squares
  1 1/2           tsp.  curry powder -- or paste
     1/2          tsp.  salt
     1/2          tsp.  pepper
     1/2           can  tomato paste -- (small tin)
                        water to dilute
  1             medium  onion -- sliced like an apple
  2             stalks  celery -- cut into thin strips
     1/2            C.  raisins
  1                     apple -- or peach, or pear,sliced like an apple
                        

1) Spray skillet with pan spray. Brown meat .

2) Sprinkle curry powder, salt, and pepper over the meat.

3) Add tomato paste and water (do not dilute paste very thinly!) and stir.

4) Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes.

5) Stir frequently and serve over hot rice.

Description:
  "My mother-in-law gave this recipe to my husband. I am not a big fan
  of curry, I was nervous when Tim first made this for me (we were
  dating), but it's WONDERFUL!! YOU control the heat of the curry, so
  add as little or as much as you like."
