How it all began...(Fool's memories)
Aah, I can still remember, if vaguely, the day when I first saw the Game in process. Immediately when I
lay my greedy and coke-infested eyes upon the table where two teams, Skaven and Wood Elves, were having
a game of finals of the cup, I was hooked. Althought I didn't know anything about the rules of the game,
or anything about it at all, I was sold. Especially after I find out that you could actually personalize your team.So when the next league started, which was only a week after the match I saw, I signed up. The rules said
something about should have played at least three games before, but what the hell. And my first game, boy, that
game is even now legendary. I played against my friend, who also had never played the Game before, and
neither him nor I knew the rules too well. He had started with Wood Elves and I with the Undead.
And he played with Toy-Teddies. About the same size as BB figures, but shaped like little teddybears,
all of which were doing something. Playing the drum, throwing a ball, you name it. The game was fun,
althought comments like: " Hey! I thought the one with the drum was your dancer, not the one who is
hopping rope...", were WAY too common. Needless to say, his figures were banned of use after the Game.
But, alas, I managed to win the Game, 2-1. He beat me in casualties, 1-2, which was also unheard of.
The propably most legendary play was done with one of my Zombies, who managed to interrupt one
of he's passes, and dodge away AND throw the ball to a Mummy... the Mummy did a TD after that,
which is also quite remarkable. After the Game, I was even more hooked and started playing like hell.
And the rest, well, that's just history....Novadays, my favourite team is still, the Undead, which I can say to be the, arguably, BEST team in the game.
But not when regeneration is more than 3+. If it would be less, they'd be unstoppable. 4+, well, I consider that
to be too much. 3+ is what I have found to be the most fitting. They fail on occasions, but still it is useful.
But enough of that, to read more of my thoughts on the Undead, read the Undead "stratagem" which can be
found in the "How to play?" section.
