Army of Darkness

--When the vortex is seen ripping off the door in the cabin, Ash has the white streak in his hair. But when he arrives back in England, the streak is gone.

--When Ash is flying through the air towards the vortex, you can see the wire he's hanging from.

--The car is falling after going through the vortex. As it falls, you can see the wire it's hanging from. As it lands, the wire is gone.

--When the car lands, it lands ontop of a small hill with the front end of the car, pointing up & to the right. When we see the knights stabbing it with their swords, it's facing the other way, nose down. The hill it's on is also different. It's much bigger & higher.

--When Ash lands, he lands on some concrete slabs, which looks like a sidewalk. But when he gets up, you can see just dirt under him.

--When the men grab Ash, his gun is gone from his holster.

--When Ash is in the pit, Henry the Red makes a move towards it, only to be stopped by Arthur's sword against his throat. But when the camera cuts, the sword is down by his waist.

--In the pit, Ash starts his chainsaw & puts his arm back behind him, getting ready for a big swing. In the next shot of him, he's holding the saw with both hands at his side.

--Ash tosses his belt up to wrap around the rising chain. But, his belt could not tie itself around the chain as it did.

--Ash grabs the little guy's whip & waves it at the guy. In the next shot, the whip has dsappeared from his hand.

--Ash's shotgun re-appears from nowhere when he needs it to shoot the guy's (Arthur's) sword. Note: He would have had enough time to grab the gun from a knight or villager who was holding it, but this is not seen & since the gun disappeared off his back in the first place, I assume this to be a blooper. Make your own judgement.

--In the windmill, Ash is warming his hands by the fire...even his metal hand.

--When Ash runs toward the mirror, you can see the door is open behind him. Note: This is caused bacuase a scene was cut where Ash went outside & then saw the mirror from out the windmill.

--When Ash scrapes his face off the grill, his face is fairly clean (not burned at all either). Yet in the next shot, he's got black soot all over his face. NoteL this is also caused by a cut scene in which Ash breaks a pipe & gets soot shot all over his face.

--The amount of soot on Ash's face changes each shot until the shot where he sticks his finger in his throat. In this shot, the soot is gone.

--When Ash is starting to split into the 2 Ashes, they hit a tree which wobbles around.

--The tree also wobbles when Bad Ash is shot & flies through the air hitting the tree.

--When Ash tosses the body into the grave, the head lands face down. In the next shot, the head is face up.

--Ash opens the first book. The mini-vortex in it is small & round. In one shot, when his arms are stretching, the entire book is a square-shaped vortex. When he gets sucked into the book, it's round again.

--Ash starts to yell at the skelton hands. When he says, "I'll mash you to pieces!", his mouth is not moving in sync.

--As Ash is riding towards castle, you can see the castle moving around on the horizon in the matte shot.

--Why is it that Ash is teaching these soldiers how to fight? Shouldn't they already know?

--A scoout is riding towards the castle yelling a warning about the approaching army. In this shot, the castle is moving around the matte again.

--Ash is driving his car straight at Shiela. At teh last second, the car turns left goes a bit & then flies into the air exploding. Even though the car should be way past her, it lands in front of her.

--As Henry the Red's army is running towards the castle, you can see a guy wearing sneakers hopping along in the middle of the screen.

--Arthur has 2 arrows in his back. He's pushed into a wall. As he falls to the floor, you can see one of the arrows bend like rubber against the wall.

--Bad Ash accidently stabs one of his own skeletons through the back. As he turns around with the skelton, you can see the sword is only next to the skeleton's side & not going through him.

--As the Ashes are moving towards the top of the steps. you can see a soldier & a skeleton fighting. When the Ashes get to the top, these men are gone.

--After Bad Ash lands on the catapult, the fuse on the gunpowder bag is not lit. It's still unlit when it's tossed & explodes.

--After Bad Ash is killed we see a shot of Shiela on the floor. her hair is neat, dry & combed. In the next shot, when she stands, her hair is a mess & wet.

--When the guy with the beard hands Ash the potion, he's explaining what to do with it. But, his mouth isn't moving with what he's saying. Note: This is because this ending is different from the original "Director's cut" ending & he was actually saying something different.

--If Ash just has to drink the potion & say the words, where the heck is he riding off to at the end? Note: This is also because of the alternate ending, He's actually going to a cave where he'll sleep for 600 years. (The cave he goes to is the cave used as the Batcave enterance on the old Batman T.V. show.)

One of my favorite movies of all time. Funnier than the first 2.

WHYNOTS

More blood comes out of the pit than is in the human body.
WHYNOT: In all 3 movies when a person dies, there's a big rush of blood. It must be the director's artistic choice to show that the Evil Dead causes this. If the blood is able to squirt that far out of the pit in the first place, there can also be much more blood.

During the final showdown between Ash and Bad Ash, Bad Ash tosses a dagger at Ash. The way he flings it, it seems to land sideways at his feet, but a camera cut shows it to stab the stone beneath Ash as he rolls to the side. WHYNOT: Bad Ash throws the sword (not dagger) down at Ash from about 15-20 feet above. So, it doesn't seem to land at his feet sideways, because it's still falling down to Ash many feet below.

When Ash first uses his shotgun in the castle, he never reloads it. He manages to fire at least 4 shots out of a double barreled gun
WHYNOT: He does reload it after each shot. You hear it & you can see him close the barrel twice. I admit it's too fast, but he does reload.

During the big battle between Good Ash and Bad Ash, in the background you can see two living soldiers fighting each other. WHYNOT: This is also incorrect. Whenever there is someone fighting behind them, it is a soldier & a skeleton. The skeletons are guys dressed in costume & look like real people but they are skeletons.

When Ash is making his new hand, specifically the scene where he is tightening the straps on his arm, you can see a big chunk of his hand past the wrist.
WHYNOT: You see a bit of his arm sticking out the top of the armband. You do not see the wrist or his hand, so it can be his stump. In the Director's cut, you don't even see the bit of his arm at all.

When Lord Arthur shoots the crossbow at the fleeing prisoner near the beginning, the camera angle changes to that of the arrow. For a moment, before the camera changes angles again, the arrow is going slower than the guy running. WHYNOT: The speed of the arrow doesn't change at all. The shot is so fast, you couldn't even tell anyway.

When the Army of Darkness marches towards the castle you can see a camera man in the bottom corner a few times. WHYNOT: Searching for this blooper gave me no results. If the blooper were more specific, I could check. For now I say this doesn't happen.

Ash's chainsaw just disappears. He uses it twice & then he doesn't use it again. He should have used it for the final fight.WHYNOT: He probably ran out of gas for it. The running slogan of the film says he was "Low on Gas". Also, he probably used the gas for his car which came in handy as well.

The army of the dead is basically made up of mostly skeletons, but in some of the scenes where they couldn't use stop motion for obvious reasons, they have real people standing in with skull masks. WHYNOT: So where's the blooper? In most movies, the special effects crew will change from one format to another, which sort of tricks the audience into not knowing which is real or which is fake. In this film, there are puppets, stop-motion, & real people in costume portraying the skeletons.

Ash shoots 30 shots out of the gun at the witch at the end without reloading. WHYNOT: The type of gun he's using can hold about 26-28 shots (Maybe 30. I'm not an expert.). Ash does pump the gun after every shot, loading another round into the chamber. You are right if the gun can only hold 26-28 shots, but seems to me people think it's a 2-6 shot shotgun.

The guy with the glasses in S-Mart Ash is talking to (theatrical version only), is Sam Raimi's brother Ted. He's also the second guy who agrees to join Ash fight.
WHYNOT: And Eddie Murphy plays 6 different roles in the Klumps, where's the blooper? Ted also plays one of the guys worrying about the approaching army.

There is a scene where the evil force is cruising through the forest very fast, chasing Ash. At one point the camera goes through a tree (the 3rd one that splits). If you watch carefully, a white ghost face appears in the left side of the tree.
WHYNOT: I actually saw it too, but according to Sam Raimi & Bruce Campbell, themselves (on the commentary on the DVD), it's not intentional & just an optical illusion.

When bad Ash is separating from good Ash, bad Ash is on the right. When they split, good Ash should have a good right hand & bad Ash should be stuck with the metal right hand.
WHYNOT: If they split into 2 enitites, as in cloning, the Evil Ash that split would be a complete Ash, which he is.

In Evil Dead 2 Ash got shells for the gun in the cabin, but in AOD he gets them from the trunk of his car. In Evil Dead 2 Ash got his gun from the cabin, but in this film, he says he got it from S-Mart. At the end of Evil Dead 2, he becomes a hero by shooting the flying Deadite. In this one, he's taken as a prisoner. His girlfriend is different. The book is different. In Evil Dead 2, he cuts off his hand in the kitchen. In Army of Darkness, he cuts it off in the living room.
WHYNOT: Yes, these are all differences from Evil Dead 2 to Army of Darkeness, true. But, the movies are not supposed to be telling the same story. The Writer/Director did this with the first 2 films & apparently did it with this film as well. Do you really think he messed up or do you think he just went in another direction? If you believe he messed up, you got problems.
